Lunella Lafayette and her Devil Dinosaur companion are back in 2022 with a book promising to bring a new definition to ‘Marvel Team-Up.’
Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur return to the Marvel Universe in February 2022 with a new series likely to involve superhero team-up shenanigans.
The creators of the series have yet to be revealed, but Marvel teased that the upcoming book, simply named Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, would “bring new meaning to the term ‘Marvel Team-Up’ in a tale that promises to…Shake Your World.”
Nine-year-old kid genius Lunella Lafayette and her massive Jack Kirby-created dinosaur last appeared in the first iteration of Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, which kicked off in 2015 and ran for 47 issues until 2019. Possessing the Inhuman gene, Lunella was able t0 communicate with the massive Tyrannosaurus rex, who ended up in New York City via a portal. Taking on the role previously assumed by Devil Dinosaur’s prior companion Moon-Boy, Lunella and her giant reptilian friend went on to have a number of adventures, and their series concluded with Lunella proving that she was smarter than Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four.
Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur are also receiving an animated series, which debuts on Disney Channel in 2022 and stars Diamond White as Lunella and Fred Tatasciore as Devil Dinosaur.
Marvel’s new Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur series launches in February 2022.
