A new Iron Fist debuts, with stories celebrating Marvel’s black superheroes — Black Panther, Luke Cage, Moon Girl and more — also out next week.
Marvel Comics celebrates Black History Month with its new releases next week.
The next one-shot from the Marvel’s Voices anthology line, Marvel’s Voices: Legacy #1, hits shelves on Wednesday. Though it is marked with a first issue label, it will be the second Legacy issue to be released, also arriving two years after the first Marvel’s Voices book debuted in Feb. 2020. Sam Wilson (Captain America), Black Panther, Moon Girl, Luke Cage and more will be given the spotlight, with many creative talents — including Cody Ziglar, Natacha Bustos and Maria Fröhlich — contributing to their stories. There will still be much more for readers to grab off of shelves and pick up digitally though.
Speaking on the subject of legacy, a brand new Iron Fist is about to debut in their very own solo title. Even though Danny Rand will still be involved in the story, this new hero will be the series’ star, with writer Alyssa Wong previously speaking about how excited she is to be penning an Asian Iron Fist for Marvel alongside artist Michael YG. “That’s something that a lot of people have wanted to see for a long time, myself included, and it feels special to be entrusted with that opportunity.”
In addition to Marvel’s Voices and Iron Fist #1, coming to your local comic shops are issues like The Amazing Spider-Man #89, Hulk #4, Black Widow #14, Thor #22 and more. The full list of releases, covers and solicitations included, can be found alphabetically below.
