In time for the 60th anniversary of Spider-Man’s debut, Marvel announced the relaunch of Amazing Spider-Man.
For the new volume of Amazing Spider-Man, writer Zeb Wells and artist John Romita Jr are at the helm. Marvel teased Wells and Romita Jr.’s run will bring all of the classic elements fans love, along with surprising new takes on classic supervillains from Spider-Man’s rogues gallery.
The new run will also see Peter Parker separated from all of his allies and even his closest family. The new comic book series will raise the question, “What did Spider-Man do?” Amazing Spider-Man editor Nick Lowe said, “Spider-Man doesn’t turn sixty every year.” He continued, “and we are going BIG with this run cramming it with the biggest WTF moments Spidey has ever had. Zeb and JRJR will go down in history as one of the best creative teams ever!”
Amazing Spider-Man #1 is set to hit shelves this April.
