Lucasfilm Announces All-New Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi Animated Show

Lucasfilm continues to develop more animated Star Wars with ‘Tales of the Jedi,’ a whole new anthology series of shorts that will have its own panel at next month’s Star Wars Celebration on May 26. After the success of animated episodes such as The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Visions, Lucasfilm and Disney hope to continue their streak of animated shows with their newest contribution to the long-running sci-fi brand.

The Star Wars Celebration event website confirmed the new series, which this year corresponds with the premiere of the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series. The Tales of the Jedi discussion will be chaired by Amy Ratcliffe and will feature Dave Filoni as a special guest on May 28.

The fact that Star Wars guru Filoni will be on the panel means that he will have a hand in the series, which can only be a good thing for the franchise’s newest entry. While there are presently no information on how many episodes the series will have or how long they will be, with so many other projects in the works, knowing that it exists is probably enough for now for Star Wars enthusiasts. Let’s just hope it’s better than the terrible Star Wars: Resistance from 2018.
