Alligator Loki was one of the more popular variants featured on the Disney+ series, and can now be found on a variety of new merchandise.
Among all the variants of the God of Mischief featured on Loki, Alligator Loki has arguably been the most popular, despite his brief appearance. The first season of the Disney+ series has ended, but fans starved for more of the character can satisfy their craving with some brand-new merchandise.
Marvel Entertainment showcased the new merch on Twitter Saturday. Loki’s reptilian incarnation can be found on assortment of apparel, among other items. Alligator Loki’s likeness appears on no less than four different T-shirts — the slithering variant is emblazoned on two of the designs alongside fellow variants Classic Loki, Kid Loki and Boastful Loki, while featured solo on the others. Fans can complete their fashion statement by choosing among four different pair of socks, as well.
For those looking for even more swag, a variant Loki backpack and Alligator Loki pin will be available soon. The character has also earned its own Funko Pop! figure, coming soon as an exclusive from Hot Topic.
Alligator Loki and the three other variants were first introduced in a mid-credits cameo in the series’ fourth episode, “The Nexus Event.” All starred in the subsequent episode “Journey into Mystery.” While variants such as Kid Loki, Classic Loki and others were based on their comic book counterparts, Alligator Loki was a new creation for the Disney+ series.
In the series, Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, runs afoul of the Time Variance Authority (TVA) after creating an alternate timeline during the events of 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. The TVA was revealed to be a creation of a cosmic entity known as He Who Remains to control the spread of alternate timelines. In the season finale, the variant known as Sylvie killed He Who Remains, ushering in an uncontrolled rush of alternate realities.
Season 1 of Loki is currently streaming on Disney+. The show will return for a second season.
