Announced on Tuesday, September 15th, in their E3 Direct, Nintendo is set to release Life is Strange: True Colors as well as Life is Strange: Remastered Collection to Nintendo Switch.
Life is Strange: True Colors, the newest installment of the Life is Strange game series, will drop on September 10th for the Switch and other PC and console platforms including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
Unlike Max (the protagonist of the original Life is Strange) the protagonist of True Colors, Alex Chen, does not have the power to rewind time. Instead, she is cursed with the psychic power known as empathy: a skill that allows her to experience and manipulate the emotions of others (which she is able to see in the form of colorful auras surrounding their bodies).
Alex arrives in the small town of Haven Springs following her brother Gabe’s tragic death. Unconvinced that it is an “accident,” she must use her abilities to unearth the truth of Gabe’s death and all the secrets lurking beneath Haven Springs’ misty veneer.
The Life is Strange Remastered Collection has not be given a release date yet, but will feature an anthology of episodes starring Max and Chloe from the first game Life is Strange and its prequel Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
