Let There Be Carnage Releases the Clearest Look at Shriek Yet

[ad_1]

Venom: Let There Be Carnage poster showcases Naomie Harris as Marvel supervillain Shriek, who is set to cause mayhem for Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock.

A newly released Venom: Let There Be Carnage poster spotlights Naomie Harris as Shriek, the secondary villain of the film.

Sony Pictures dropped the poster alongside ones for Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock, Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kasady and Michelle Williams’ Anne Weying. Shriek’s appearance in the poster harkens back to her look in the source material, with the glowing blue eye and facial scar paying homage to her comic book origins.

The poster reveal comes hot on the heels of TV spots showcasing Shriek, as she unleashes chaos on San Francisco with her villainous symbiote beau, Carnage. These previews provided glimpses of Kasady’s unique tics and mannerisms, which director Andy Serkis argued is a vital component of the character, given the malleable physicality granted to him by the symbiote’s capacity to shapeshift. The filmmaker cited the groundbreaking motion-capture work in The Lord of the Rings as a particular influence on his directing style while working on Let There Be Carnage.

With Spider-Man: No Way Home seemingly opening up the multiverse, talk recently turned to the future of the Venom franchise and whether Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock could cross paths with Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. Serkis strongly suggested Venom will meet Spider-Man at some point in the not too distant future.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage hits theaters on Oct. 1. The film is directed by Andy Serkis and stars Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson, Naomie Harris and Michelle Williams.
