Legacy of Thieves Rating Reveal Narrows Release Window

[ad_1]

A recent rating for the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection narrows down the release window for the upcoming ports of Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy.

The release window for the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection has been narrowed down thanks to a recently spotted rating for the upcoming PS5 and PC port.

Although the MA15+ rating for strong violence given to the Legacy of Thieves collection is nothing out of the norm for the popular action-adventure series, the rating given by the Australian Classification Board does provide a better idea as to when Legacy of Thieves will release. As such, with Elden Ring having been rated on Oct. 13 and due to release on Feb. 25, 2022, Legacy of Thieves will presumably arrive roughly four months after its Nov. 8 rating, putting the collection’s potential release date somewhere between late February and early March of 2021.

Announced several months back during PlayStation Showcase 2021, the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection will bring both Uncharted 4: A Thieves End and the standalone 2017 spinoff Uncharted: The Lost Legacy to PlayStation 5 and PC. No indication of new content was provided during the announcement, with only a broad release window of early 2022 for PS5 being revealed.

While the games included in Legacy of Thieves are currently the only Uncharted titles officially announced for PC, a recent leak suggested the existence of a separate collection of ports. Uncharted: The Naughty Dog PC Collection is rumored to bring Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy to PC. The PlayStation Vita exclusive Uncharted: Golden Abyss was noticeably excluded from the rumored collection.

When Legacy of Thieves releases sometime next year, it will join the growing number of former PlayStation exclusives now available on PC. Horizon Zero Dawn, Death Stranding and Days Gone have already been ported to PC. Meanwhile, 2018’s God of War was announced to release on PC on Jan. 14, 2022. PC players waiting on FromSoftware’s Bloodborne, however, shouldn’t hold out hope for the Soulslike being ported, according to one report.

Uncharted 4 is the franchise’s most recent mainline entry, concluding the story of Nathan Drake as the charismatic adventurer hunts Henry Avery’s long-lost treasure alongside his trusted partner Victor Sullivan and presumed-dead brother Samuel. Players take control of Nathan to solve various puzzles, engage in combat and traverse a range of platforming sections. The series’ core third-person gameplay was given a more open-ended approach in The Lost Legacy standalone expansion. The Lost Legacy sees players control Nathan’s associate and love interest, Chloe Frazer, who journeys to India in search of the Tusk of Ganesh while the country hangs on the brink of civil war.
