Ronaldo and Draluc, the vampire hunter and vampire protagonists of The Vampire Dies in No Time respectively, are hilarious together. Out of necessity, they live and work together but they don’t necessarily get along and often get into silly fights. The side characters are unique and only add to the enjoyment of this anime. One character that has charmed the fans is John, a small armadillo that is kept as a pet by Draluc. Despite being an animal that can’t talk, he has a lot of personality and is just plain adorable.
There is one negative to the characters, though, which is that while being tons of fun to watch, most of them lack deep backgrounds or motives. One could argue that the anime spends so much time squeezing in jokes that there isn’t enough time to develop each character. This could be disappointing to fans that expect a little more depth to the characters.
