Sif actor Jamie Alexander teases that her return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is going well beyond just Loki and Thor: Love and Thunder.
Actor Jaimie Alexander recently reprised her role as Sif on Disney+’s Loki. However, if her recent social media activity is any indication, she’ll be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a good long while.
“The lady has returned… and she is here to stay,” Alexander wrote on an Instagram story. Alexander will next return as Sif in Thor: Love and Thunder.
Alexander first portrayed Sif in Thor before going on to reprise the role in Thor: The Dark World and a pair of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episodes. From there, the character remained absent from the MCU until her Loki reappearance, with scheduling conflicts preventing her from showing up in Thor: Ragnarok. However, a stage performer portraying Sif did appear in Ragnarok during an Asgardian play chronicling a skewed version of Loki’s exploits.
There has been no word on what kind of role Sif will play in Thor: Love and Thunder. However, Alexander previously volunteered to serve as Valkyrie’s queen in the movie.
Created by Michael Waldron and directed by Kate Herron, Loki stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes, Eugene Cordero as Casey, Sasha Lane as Hunter C-20 and Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, with Richard E. Grant and Jack Veal. New episodes premiere Wednesdays on Disney+.
