DC’s upcoming film The Flash has wrapped production. The film, which has been in one stage of production or another since 2015 when Phil Lord and Chris Miller signed on to write the story treatment, has finally moved into post-production, which we learned thanks to an Instagram post from one of the film’s sound mixers Colin Nicolson who wrote: “That’s a wrap on The Flash. Day 124 with a fantastic sound team, brilliant cast, and crew. It’s been challenging but great fun.”
The film is set to return Ezra Miller as Barry Allen along with two previous Batmen, Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck. The film is also set to introduce Sasha Calle as Supergirl. Since the series is supposed to deal with the multiverse there are a lot of rumors of other possible appearances including Grant Gustin who plays the Flash on the CW and who met Miller’s version of the character during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover event back in January 2020.
The Direct has reported that a sneak peek of the movie will arrive during next weekend’s DC FanDome 2021, so the fact that production has wrapped could hint that this preview would include several finished scenes. This should also give the crew a year to finish the post-production in time for its release, including giving ample time for director Andy Muschietti to gather the cast for reshoots if needed.
The Flash is scheduled to hit theaters November 4th, 2022.
