The third issue of the Harley Quinn animated series’ tie-in comic book promises to show Harley and Ivy’s first official date.
Later this year, Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour — the digital-first DC comic book series based on HBO Max’s Harley Quinn cartoon — will show Harley’s first official date with Poison Ivy.
Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour #3 is slated to hit comic shops on Tuesday, Nov. 9. The issue’s cover sees Harley and Ivy enjoying a romantic candle-lit dinner, with the couple sharing a plate of spaghetti in an obvious nod to Disney’s Lady and the Tramp.
It doesn’t appear like everything will go off without a hitch, however. “First dates are usually memorable, and Harley’s is no different,” the comic’s official synopsis reads. “When Hush decides to disrupt their date, Ivy takes action in a way Harley’s never seen before.” What’s more, Hush isn’t the only one poised to make things difficult for the couple, as Commissioner Gordon will apparently factor into the story as well.

The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour is set between the events of Harley Quinn Season 2 and the upcoming Season 3. The comic finds Harley and Ivy on a road trip following the events of the explosive Season 2 finale, which saw the two run off together after Ivy and Kite Man’s wedding ended in disaster.
Starring Kaley Cuoco as the eponymous anti-hero, Harley Quinn originally premiered on the DC Universe streaming service in November of 2019, with Season 2 arriving in April of 2020. Amid the restructuring of DC Universe, both seasons were added to HBO Max in August of 2020. The following month, it was announced that Harley Quinn would return for Season 3 exclusively on HBO Max. The new season is expected to arrive on the platform either late this year or early next year.
