Actor Gerard Butler sues Olympus Has Fallen production companies Nu Image, Millennium Media and Padre Nuestro Productions for fraud.

It has been reported that Olympus Has Fallen star Gerard Butler has filed a lawsuit against the film’s production companies.

Butler alleges that he is owed $10 million that he was promised from the net profits of the film. The suit alleges that production companies Nu Image, Millennium Media and Padre Nuestro Productions never intended to pay the actor anything from the film’s $170 million gross earnings. The companies are being accused of a “comprehensive, premeditated scheme” to hide money through carefully worded agreements allowing them not to report all receipts.

Olympus Has Fallen was released in 2013, beginning the Has Fallen film series. It was followed by London Has Fallen and the 2019 film, Angel Has Fallen. Butler stars in all three pictures as Mike Banning, a Secret Service agent and former Army Ranger who is assigned to protect the U.S president against the efforts of terrorists.

Several more films have been announced, as well as a television series, starting with Night Has Fallen. Butler has been confirmed to return as Banning. He is attached to at least three more films as their star as well as producer. The film series has received average to negative responses from film critics and have earned a total of $523,526,638 worldwide across all three films.
