Futurama reportedly returns to Adult Swim’s syndication schedule this month, ending the show’s 14-year absence from the programming block.

Futurama is reportedly returning to Adult Swim’s syndication schedule — just in time to ring in the new year with a drink and a pizza at your local cryogenic lab.

According to a television listing shared to Twitter by user [swimpedia], Futurama will begin airing from the beginning on Adult Swim starting on Monday, Dec. 27. This would mark the end of the animated sci-fi sitcom’s 14-year absence from Cartoon Network’s late-night programming block.

According to the listing, Futurama‘s 1999 debut episode, “Space Pilot 3000,” will air on Adult Swim on Dec. 27 at 9 p.m., followed by the show’s second episode, “The Series Has Landed,” at 9:30 p.m. The two episodes will then air again a few hours later at 1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m., respectively.

Created by Matt Groening (The Simpsons), Futurama originally aired on Fox for four seasons from March 28, 1999 to Aug. 10, 2003. After being canceled by Fox due to low ratings, the fan-favorite series was revived in the form of four direct-to-DVD feature films, which were released from Nov. 27, 2007 to Feb, 24, 2009. These four movies were split up into 16 episodes, which aired on Comedy Central as Futurama Season 5 from March 23, 2008 to Aug. 30, 2009.

Comedy Central, Futurama‘s new home, then ordered a standard sixth season of the show, which aired from June 24, 2010 to Sept. 8, 2011. While Season 6 was initially intended to be the show’s conclusion, Comedy Central ultimately greenlit one more. Futurama Season 7 wrapped up the series, airing from June 20, 2012 to Sept. 4, 2013. The show’s characters later returned in “Simpsorama,” a crossover episode that aired as part of The Simpsons Season 26 in November of 2014.

As far as Futurama‘s syndication history is concerned, Adult Swim aired reruns of the show from Jan. 12, 2003 to Dec. 31, 2007 — 14 years ago. Comedy Central then began airing reruns of the original Fox seasons starting on Jan. 1, 2008. Futurama reruns continue to air on Comedy Central to this day. Reruns also aired on Syfy from Nov. 11 2017 to Nov. 10 of this year. On Nov. 15, just a few days after leaving Syfy, Futurama started airing on FXX.

At this time, it looks as though Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim block will share the broadcast rights to Futurama with Comedy Central and FXX. News of the show’s apparent Cartoon Network return comes not long after Adult Swim lost the broadcast rights to Family Guy, though regained the rights to King of the Hill.
