It’s the rise of the Serpent’s Omen in an action-packed exclusive preview from Fire Power #15 by Robert Kirkman, Chris Samnee and Matthew Wilson.

Robert Kirkman, Chris Samnee and Matthew Wilson’s post-modern martial arts epic Fire Power has picked up the stakes in its fourth story arc, with an exclusive preview showcasing the Serpent’s Omen in action.

Set to go on sale Sept. 1, Fire Power #15 features a showdown with the resurfaced martial artist enemies Serpent’s Omen, controlling victims through the bites of deadly vipers. In an unlettered preview, a monk finds himself forcibly converted into the Serpent’s Omen’s growing ranks.

Fire Power follows an unassuming man named Owen Johnson, who trained in martial arts at a remote monastery before deciding to return home and focus on his family life in St. Louis. The comic offers a self-aware look at martial arts superheroes, complete with rival schools and mystical techniques.

Published by Image Comics and Kirkman’s production company Skybound Entertainment, Fire Power launched in July 2020 to critical acclaim. Over a year since launch, the first three story arcs have since been collected — with its fourth well underway — as Owen learns he cannot outrun his martial arts destiny.

Written by Robert Kirkman and illustrated by Chris Samnee and Matthew Wilson, Fire Power #15 goes on sale Sept. 1 from Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment.
