The original Fables saga by Bill Willingham and Mark Buckingham is getting a 20th anniversary box set under the DC Black Label.
Next year, DC Comics celebrates the 20th anniversary of Bill Willingham and Mark Buckingham’s Fables with a high-end box set collecting the entire saga thus far.
The original Fables title, first published by DC’s now-defunct Vertigo imprint, is currently slated to return for issue #151 under the DC Black Label in May 2022. One month before that — on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 — Fables: The 20th Anniversary Box Set arrives in shops with a cover price of $240 USD, as revealed by DC’s November 2021 solicitations.
Fables: The 20th Anniversary Box Set is comprised of four compendium volumes, which come in a slipcase featuring artwork by Buckingham. The set collects Fables #1-150, Fables: The Last Castle, Fables: 1001 Nights of Snowfall, Fables: Werewolves of the Heartland, Jack of Fables #33-35 and The Literals #1-3.
