Haki is a power that exists within everyone in the world of One Piece. Usually divided into two types, Haki exists as either Color of Arms, also known as Armament Haki, or Color of Observation, also known as Observation Haki.
A rare type of Haki, called Color of the Supreme King or Conqueror’s Haki, is only wielded by one in a million people. A few members of the Straw Hat Pirates trained in the ways of Haki during the two-year timeskip while others managed to tap into its power after the crew reunited on Sabaody Archipelago once again.
10 Usopp Possesses One Type Of Haki So Far
The sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates, Usopp tapped into the power of Haki only recently, during the Dressrosa arc of One Piece. Unlike the other members of the crew, he can only use one type of Haki — Observation. Using this power, Usopp is able to hit his target far more efficiently than before, and being a sniper, it is an essential tool for him to have in his arsenal. Although he hasn’t awakened Armament Haki yet, it is possible that Usopp will gain this power at some point in the future.
9 Usopp Awakened It While Trying To Snipe Sugar
To snipe Sugar, one of the executives of the Donquixote Pirates, without fail, Usopp’s Haki bloomed and he was able to sense the auras of everyone around him. This enabled him to take aim even when he was miles away from Sugar and couldn’t even see her directly. Usopp’s sniping skills improved dramatically, and it was only because of him that Luffy and Law were able to get close to Donquixote Doflamingo, who was the main antagonist of the arc.
8 Sanji Possesses Two Haki Types, Observation & Armament
Sanji is the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates and one of the most powerful fighters of the crew, often referred to as a member of the Monster Trio. During the timeskip, Sanji was able to tap into this power, and he specializes in the usage of Observation Haki. Sanji is strong enough to hurt Queen, one of three right-hand men of Kaido with his kick, which was likely coated in Haki. At the same time, his Observation Haki is extremely refined as he’s able to sense things others can’t, such as the tear of a woman falling from hundreds of meters away.
7 Sanji Awakened It While Training On Momoiro Island
Sanji spent the two-year timeskip under Emporio Ivankov, the commander of the Grand Line forces of the Revolutionary Army. While training with him, Sanji likely tapped into the power of Observation Haki, which he then went on to specialize in.
Since he had to defeat all of the followers of Ivankov, he needed the power boost offered by Armament Haki to get the better of them. By the time he arrived at Sabaody Archipelago, Sanji was a great user of both Observation and Armament Haki.
6 Jinbe Has The Power Of Two Haki Types
Jinbe is the Helmsman of the Straw Hat Pirates and a Fishman who recently rejoined the crew in Wano Country. As expected of a former Shichibukai, Jinbe possesses two types of Haki, Armament and Observation. Although his usage of either was very limited until recently, the Wano Country arc of the story saw him fight Who’s Who, against whom he displayed a great mastery over both Observation and Armament Haki.
5 Jinbe Awakened It At An Unknown Time
Unlike the other Haki users of the Straw Hat Pirates, fans don’t know when or how Jinbe learned to use Haki. During his fight against Portgas D. Ace, Jinbe was known to have used Haki to defend himself but it wasn’t strong enough to protect him from Ace’s flames. It is highly likely that Jinbe learned to use this power at some point during his time as a Shichibukai. His usage of this power is extremely impressive, as seen in the fight against Who’s Who, who was one of Kaido’s strongest men.
4 Zoro Possesses All Three Types Of Haki
Roronoa Zoro is the combatant of the crew and is only second to Luffy when it comes to strength. He possesses the power to use all three types of Haki, which isn’t surprising at all given how big his dream is.
Although Zoro’s Observation Haki isn’t all that special, his usage of Armament Haki is certainly quite impressive, as seen during his short clash against Kaido which he ended up losing. In Wano Country, fans got to know of his potential to use Conqueror’s Haki as well.
3 Zoro Awakened Haki During The Timeskip
Roronoa Zoro was trained by Dracule Mihawk, the strongest swordsman in One Piece, during the two-year timeskip. The training focused quite a lot on Armament Haki, which is why Zoro’s usage of this power is so refined at the moment. During the same time, he also managed to learn how to use Observation Haki, although his usage of it isn’t nearly as good. During the fight against Kaido, Zoro managed to use Conqueror’s Haki somehow, but he isn’t aware of this power dwelling within him yet.
2 Luffy Is A User Of All The Haki Types
One of the strongest pirates in the world of One Piece, Luffy is, unsurprisingly, a user of all the Haki types. He is capable of using all three powers at an advanced level, as seen on his journey across the New World. With his Observation Haki, Luffy can see the future itself, while his Armament Haki, or Ryou, is strong enough to damage others internally. Luffy can also use Conqueror’s Haki at an advanced level by coating himself with it, significantly increasing the power of his strikes in the process.
1 Luffy Learned Haki From Silvers Rayleigh During The Timeskip
Luffy was trained by Silvers Rayleigh, the right-hand man of the Pirate King, during the two-year timeskip. He managed to get a hold of the basics of Haki in just 1.5 years, showing how big of a genius he truly is when it comes to fighting. On his journey, Luffy has gradually advanced his Haki to the next level. He gained the power to see the future against Katakuri, and in Wano’s Prisoner Mine, he learned how to destroy things from the inside with Ryou. In his fight against Kaido, Luffy tapped into the power of advanced Conqueror’s Haki and matched the Yonko in battle for quite a long time, showing everyone why he is by far the strongest of the Straw Hat Pirates.
