Hot Toys reveals a new collectible figure inspired by Avengers: Endgame concept art that depicts Doctor Strange in Iron Man’s armor.
Hot Toys recently announced a new action figure inspired by concept art from 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, which depicted Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange in Iron Man’s armor.
Released as part of the Avengers: Endgame Concept Art Series Collection, the official Iron Strange (Special Edition) Sixth Scale Figure by Hot Toys measures roughly 32 cm tall, features 30 points of articulation, and boasts a diecast armored body filled with exceptional details.
The limited-edition figure also includes the Sorcerer Supreme’s Eye of Agamotto, which takes the place of the Arc Reactor usually donned by Tony Stark, as well as LED light-up Energy Displacer Sentries which can be attached to various display stands.
Among the accessories that come with the Iron Strange collectible figure are Iron Man hand cannons, blue-tinted light mandalas, a mystical light sword, and several sets of interchangeable hand gestures. Collectors will also appreciate the figure’s display stand, which is accompanied by a nameplate and spaceship-themed backdrop.
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe may recall that the Iron Strange costume first appeared in an alternate version of a scene from Endgame, which was shared as concept art in The Art of Avengers: Endgame book.
The scrapped scene was supposed to take place during the outer-space rescue, and would have seen Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark sending his nano suit onto Doctor Strange to protect him as he escaped from Ebony Maw’s torture needles. In theory, the armor would form itself around the Eye of Agamotto, which would burn a glyph into the chest of the armor and turn it into a magically powered suit.
The Iron Strange (Special Edition) Sixth Scale Figure retails for $440 and is available for pre-order on the Sideshow website. It’s expected to ship between January 2023-March 2023.
