Emmerich Unveils Next Global “Disaster Porn” Film: Moonfall

We’ve seen a number of global cataclysms in previous Roland Emmerich movies like 2012, The Day After Tomorrow and Independence Day, now get ready for destruction of the universe on a whole other level. Is it a magnetic field that’s smashing space stations, lunar rocks, and everything in its path of out of order? Or is it some alien force? Lionsgate dropped a first look at CinemaCon last week, and here’s the trailer for the sci-fi feature Moonfall, which hits theaters on Feb. 4, 2022.

What’s in store is a significant amount of galactic chaos that’s more than we’ve ever seen on the big screen. Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, Michael Peña, John Bradley, Donald Sutherland star in the Emmerich, Spenser Cohen, and Harald Kloser scripted feature, produced by Kloser and Emmerich.
