Dragon Ball Episode 8 Reaction: Goku and Chi-Chi Arrive at Kame House

In the Dragon Ball Episode 8 Reaction, Goku and Chi-Chi finally reach the Kame House, where Chi-Chi—still skeptical about the old man being Master Roshi—throws a blade at him to test his reflexes. Roshi isn’t quick enough to dodge, leading Chi-Chi to question his skills until he flashes his “Hermit Club Card” for proof. Once Chi-Chi is convinced, Roshi reveals his deal: he’ll help with the fire on Fire Mountain if Goku sets him up with Bulma. Classic Roshi, right?

The Missing Bansho Fan

As they search for the Bansho Fan, Turtle remembers that Roshi once used it as a placemat and tossed it out. Since the fan is MIA, Roshi decides to put out the fire himself. He summons his ride, Baby Gamera (a mini turtle jet), and they all set off for Fire Mountain!

The Ox-King’s Reunion with Master Roshi

When they arrive, Ox-King goes full fanboy mode seeing his old master Roshi and begs forgiveness for any past misdeeds. Roshi, dizzy from the Baby Gamera ride, takes a minute to recover. Meanwhile, he pulls Bulma aside to remind her of their deal. She’s pretty ticked off, but the Dragon Ball is still in the burning castle, so she reluctantly agrees to play along if he can put out the fire.

The Epic First Kamehameha Wave

Roshi steps up, removes his shell, and buffs up, showing off his Max Power form. He gathers energy and, with the legendary phrase “Ka-Me-Ha-Me-Ha,” unleashes a massive wave, putting out the fire but accidentally destroying the castle in the process! The flames are gone, but Ox-King’s treasure is toast. Bulma, however, manages to dig up the Seven-Star Dragon Ball from the rubble.

Goku’s Kamehameha Attempt

Amazed by Roshi’s move, Goku asks if he can try the Kamehameha. Although Roshi mentions it took him 50 years to master, Goku pulls it off instantly, albeit at a smaller scale, and accidentally blows up Yamcha’s car in the process! Roshi is floored by Goku’s natural talent, while Bulma isn’t too thrilled about losing their ride. Luckily, the Ox-King hooks them up with a sweet new hovercar as a thank-you gift.

Oolong’s “Date” with Master Roshi

Roshi, not forgetting his deal, reminds Bulma about their “date.” Bulma convinces Oolong to shapeshift into her, and he gives Roshi quite a shock when he, disguised as Bulma, shows off his “assets,” leaving the old man speechless and nose-bleeding. Bulma, watching from a distance, is mortified that Oolong took things so far!

Goku and Chi-Chi’s Goodbye

Before the group heads off, Goku and Chi-Chi share a moment where Chi-Chi asks if he’ll remember her. Goku, in his usual innocent way, agrees to marry her if that’s what she wants. Chi-Chi takes it seriously, setting up the beginning of their unique relationship.
