Doctor Strange’s Benedict Wong Trolls Shang-Chi’s Simu Liu

With the release of the second Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings trailer, a lot of attention has been on the two characters fighting at the end that appeared to be the Abomination from the Incredible Hulk and possibly Wong from Doctor StrangeKevin Feige has already said Tim Roth would be reprising his role of Emil Blonsky/Abomination in the upcoming She-Hulk Disney+ series, but nothing about him or Wong appearing in this new film.

While filming of Shang-Chi was taking place, a photo was posted by a waiter who served Simu Liu, the film’s star, and Benedict Wong, the actor who plays Wong, who had dinner together. This fueled the belief that the single named sorcerer would appear… this weekend on Twitter, Wong at least showed that the two actors are following each other on social media.

Liu posted: “My parents recently discovered coffee. And by coffee I mean instant coffee. And by instant coffee I mean a glass of mostly milk with a little bit of instant coffee as ‘flavour’.”

Wong replied: “You are a product of all who came before you, the legacy of your family. You are your Mother and whether you like it or not, you are also your Father.” Which is an exact quote said by Michelle Yeoh in narration from the recently dropped trailer.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is due in theaters September 3rd.
