Fans hoping for a Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer before Spider-Man: No Way Home should note that it won’t appear the usual way.
Marvel fans excited to see the trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness before the theatrical premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home should be aware that it won’t play in the traditional manner.
Reports from those who have seen No Way Home say that the Multiverse of Madness teaser trailer does come, but not until after the film has finished, putting a twist on the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s trademark of adding sneak peeks after the credits roll. In this case, the purpose of saving the look at the upcoming Doctor Strange film is allegedly because it contains spoilers for No Way Home, as anticipated by some rumors which claimed it would be the second post-credits scene.
Previously it was reported that the Multiverse of Madness trailer had leaked online, following No Way Home‘s premiere in some countries. A flurry of leaks from the movie itself have also been popping up, leaving Sony in a rush to shut down spoilers as they appear on YouTube. Curiosity from MCU fans is at a high, as promotion for Spider-Man: No Way Home, the third in the trilogy of movies starring Tom Holland, has stoked rumors of momentous events and wide-ranging cameo appearances.

Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire, the actors who played Spider-Man in the previous live-action movies, have long been the subject of speculation, although both have denied that they will appear in No Way Home.
Doctor Strange is also confirmed as a part of No Way Home, played by Benedict Cumberbatch. The character’s own upcoming film is likewise full of secrets, with rumors saying that it will directly deal with the aftermath of the spell cast in Spider-Man: No Way Home which causes the walls between parallel universes to break down. The news that the Multiverse of Madness trailer comes after the movie to avoid spoilers supports the idea of a close connection between the two MCU films.
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: No Way Home is officially released in theaters on Dec. 17. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will arrive on May 6, 2022.
