Designed by Rodolfo Migliari, Red Hood’s new costume debuts in Task Force Z #1, which features Jason Todd as the leader of an undead Suicide Squad.
Red Hood will sport a new outfit in Task Force Z, an upcoming series that features the former Robin leading a zombified version of the Suicide Squad.
The costume, designed by Rodolfo Migliari, was revealed in DC Connect #15. It comes complete with tactical combat armor, Red Hood’s Batarang variants and a crowbar reminiscent of the weapon Joker once used to murder Jason Todd in the classic Batman storyline “A Death in the Family.”
Jason’s new look will debut in the first issue of Task Force Z. The book picks up after A-Day, an attack on Arkham Asylum that killed multiple villains, leaving them with rictus grins on their faces reminiscent of the Joker’s laughing gas.
A mysterious benefactor brings a group of these deceased rogues back from the dead, including longtime Batman threats like Bane and Man-Bat, and more recent villains like the Arkham Knight and Mr. Bloom. Red Hood, no stranger to resurrection following his own rebirth during DC’s Infinite Crisis event, will lead the motley crew of villains-turned-zombies as a new iteration of the Suicide Squad, also known as Task Force X.
Task Force Z #1 goes on sale Oct. 26 from DC.
