Critical Role, the wildly popular RPG streaming series, is returning for a new season and a new campaign. Today’s State of the Role event revealed that Campaign 3 will debut on Thursday, October 21st, at 7PM Pacific, and introduce a new set of characters to the world of Exandria. Along with the premiere date announcement comes the news that the Critical Role: Campaign 3 premiere will be simulcast live in select Cinemark movie theaters across the United States.
Here’s how Critical Role describes the new campaign:
Campaign 3 will introduce a fresh band of adventurers coming together in Marquet, located in the world of Exandria, with the story taking place chronologically after the events of Exandria Unlimited and also after Critical Role’s second campaign, which followed the Mighty Nein. Along with cast members Matthew Mercer (Overwatch), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Marisha Ray (Final Fantasy XV), Taliesin Jaffe (Final Fantasy XIV), Travis Willingham (Marvel’s Avengers), Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Laura Bailey (The Last of Us: Part II), and Liam O’Brien (Star Wars: The Bad Batch), expect to see some new faces throughout Campaign 3. Previous guest appearances have included Felicia Day, Will Friedle, Mica Burton, Wil Wheaton, Deborah Ann Woll, Khary Payton, Sumalee Montano, and more.
Following the October 21st premiere, new episodes of Campaign 3 will stream weekly on Thursdays at 7PM Pacific on the official Critical Role Twitch and YouTube channels. The Cinemark simulcast of the premiere is listed with a runtime of 4 hours and 30 minutes, so hopefully your theater has comfortable seats.
The Critical Role series is massively popular, with millions of viewers around the world. The Dungeons & Dragons-based series has spawned board games of its own, as well as books and Dark Horse comics tying in to the series.
Information on and tickets for the Campaign 3 simulcast are available now. Critical Role: Campaign 3 premieres on Thursday, October 21st at 7PM Pacific.
