Check Out This Behind-The-Scenes Look Into How Dying Light Was Ported To Switch

[ad_1]

Dying Light, the open-world zombie parkour game, was recently brought to Switch, and we were pretty impressed — not every Switch port is made equal, after all, and some really don’t stick the landing.

But Techland is pretty proud of the effort they put into porting the game, and they’ve released a behind-the-scenes video to give players a little more insight into the technological hurdles they faced and platform-exclusive features that they added along the way.

We are more than happy with the initial reception of Dying Light Platinum Edition for the Nintendo Switch and we are grateful for everyone’s kind words. The feedback received so far clearly confirms that our joint efforts have resulted in one of the best ports on [the] Switch platform, delivering immersive and stable gameplay for both handheld and docked modes.

Nevertheless, we are committed to fixing any issues raised so far (e.g. frame rate cap) and improving the performance and quality, so stay tuned!”
Piotr Chrzanowski, Head of Technology at Techland

Dying Light Platinum Edition is available now, and Dying Light 2: Stay Human will be shuffling onto Switch early next year as a Cloud Edition game.
