Hi Geeks, Selena here- it’s been a while!! Attending the Eric Carle Honors for the second time was an exhilarating experience! Surrounded by an impressive array of talented artists and authors, the elegant New York Historical Society, with its charming ambiance on the Upper West Side, opposite Central Park, provided a captivating backdrop for the evening.
had the pleasure of connecting with numerous individuals from the publishing industry, enhancing the night’s allure. Some major highlights included mingling with esteemed guests including Timothy Ditlow, author and illustrator George Ford, Andrea Pinkney, Judy Zuckerman, Grace Lin, Leonard S. Marcus, and seeing the magnificent host, Leslie Odom Jr.
The event truly brightened an otherwise rainy and gloomy week in New York, making it a delightful occasion for all, so we hope to spread some of the magic to you through our audio interviews!
