Camrus Johnson, Batwoman’s Luke Fox, celebrates his Batwing debut with some behind-the-scenes clips, including one of him dancing in-costume.
In the Season 2 finale of The CW’s Batwoman, Camrus Johnson’s Luke Fox finally suits up as the superhero Batwing. To mark the occasion, Johnson has shared various behind-the-scenes clips to social media, including one of him busting a move in-costume.
“I wanted to wait until after our Monday viewers could catch the Season 2 finale to simply say: thank you for making me Batwing,” Johnson wrote on Twitter alongside a stunt video. Johnson then posted another brief behind-the-scenes video with the caption, “And sorry in advance,” which was immediately followed by a third video, in which he can be seen doing the robot dance in his Batwing suit. The fourth and final video in Johnson’s thread is a slow-motion look at a stunt where Batwing delivers a devastating right hand.
Johnson has played Luke Fox — son of Lucius Fox and ally to Kate Kane (and later Ryan Wilder) — since Batwoman Season 1. Created by Jimmy Palmiotti, Justin Gray and Eduardo Pansica, Luke was the second character to assume the mantle of Batwing in the DC comic books, the first being David Zavimbe (created by Grant Morrison and Chris Burnham).
Batwoman stars Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder, Rachel Skarsten as Alice, Meagan Tandy as Sophie Moore, Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox and Nicole Kang as Mary Hamilton. Season 3 premieres Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
