The hardcover collection of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point releasing this fall includes every Fortnite cosmetic released alongside the crossover comics.
This year’s Batman/Fortnite crossover comic book series Zero Point will re-release as a special hardcover collection on Sept. 7. When it does, gamers will have the chance to get their hands on all the DC-themed Fortnite cosmetics they may have missed the first time around.
Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point ran for 6 issues published from April to July. Inside every issue came codes for in-game Fortnite rewards themed after iconic comic book characters, ranging from skins to gliders to pickaxes. When the special hardcover collection releases in September, it will include codes for every in-game item included in the original run. The full haul will tally up to six pieces of gear inspired by DC characters like Harley Quinn, Catwoman and Deathstroke, along with a unique outfit for Batman that fans could previously only obtain by buying every single comic in the series.
From issues 1 through 6, the Batman/Fortnite crossover comics delivered (and will re-deliver) the following Fortnite gear: the Rebirth Harley Quinn Outfit, the Batman Zero Wing Glider, Catwoman’s Grappling Claw Pickaxe, the Deathstroke Destroyer Glider, Harley Quinn’s Revenge Back Bling and the Batarang Axe Pickaxe. The hardcover re-release will also include the Armored Batman Zero Outfit, the primary costume Batman donned for the comic run, which formerly required the purchase of every comic issue separately.
The story of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point followed the Caped Crusader as he investigated a crack in reality that appeared above Gotham City. The rift whisked Batman away to the world of Fortnite and robbed him of his memory, forcing The Dark Knight into an endless cycle of battle, death and rebirth against an onslaught of rival combatants. The crossover series was crafted by writer Christos Gage and illustrator Reilly Brown, with concept and story consultation from Donald Mustard, the chief creative officer of Epic Games.
Zero Point ended its run on a cliffhanger, with the Batman/Fortnite crossover set to continue with a one-shot comic releasing Oct. 26. Since the series’ ending, Fortnite has added additional DC content beyond Batman. A Superman skin arrived earlier this summer with a series of battle quests, the Wonder Woman Cup completed the DC trinity, and The Suicide Squad’s Bloodsport touched down on The Island ahead of the film.
Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point will be available digitally and at participating bookstores on Sep. 7. In addition to the collection, DC will also release a special reprint of the first Zero Point issue for free on Sep. 18, Batman Day.
