Assassination Classroom Studio Explores Parallel Worlds in New Series Rumble Garanndoll

Studio Lerche is producing a new alternate world anime series titled Rumble Garanndoll as a part of Funimation’s upcoming fall anime lineup.

Studio Lerche is a mainstay of the anime industry, having animated iconic series like Assassination Classroom and Danganronpa: The Animation, and its newest project, Rumble Garanndoll, is set to premiere this fall.

According to Funimation, the original anime series will be part of the streaming service’s upcoming fall lineup, which also includes Banished From The Hero’s PartyYashahime: Princess Half-Demon: The Second Act and Season 2 of Restaurant from Another World.

Rumble Garanndol is directed by Masaomi Andou (Astra Lost in SpaceScum’s Wish) with Akio Watanabe (Prety Rhythm: Aurora DreamHigurashi When They Cry – Gou) providing the original character designs. Makoto Uezu (Fate/Grand CarnivalBoruto: Naruto Next Generations) is writing the story, which will see a parallel-world army fight against the Japan of the real world.


The show features a cast of veteran voice actors, including Seiichirō Yamashita (Appare-Ranman!Mob Psycho 100), Fairouz Ai (Monster Girl Doctor), Rina Hidaka (Tiger & BunnySword Art Online), Shiori Izawa (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no YaibaSamurai Flamenco) and Takuma Terashima (Edens ZeroIs It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?). Moreover, singer Aina Suzuki is both a part of the voice cast and performing the show’s ending theme song “Reverse-Rebirth.”

Rumble Garanndol is expected to premiere sometime in October and will be available to stream on Funimation.
