ARCHIE MILESTONE DIGESTS to feature new stories!

In a press release, Archie Comics announced that each of the five Archie Milestones Digest books to be released in 2022 features a brand-new “throwback” story!

These five-page stories will be set during the respective decade featured by the digest, and each will foreground the style, technology, and Archie Comics house style of the decade to which it pays homage!

Archie’s Gonna Be There (At Woodstock)

The first brand-new five-page comic will be appearing in Archie Milestones Digest #13 – Best of the 1960s, which has an on-sale date of January 26th, 2022. First up will be a story titled “Woodstock Woes!” by Tom DeFlaco, Jeff Shultz, Jim Amash, Glenn Whitmore, and Jack Morelli.

In “Woodstock Woes!”, the Archies have been asked to play the Woodstock Rock Festival! But as they face difficulties while en route from Riverdale to upstate New York, they may late to arrive at their show time. Will a Jughead shortcut help or hinder their progress?

The next digest to feature a brand-new story will be Archie Milestones Digest #14 – Best of the 1990s, on sale April 6th, 2022.

This will be followed by a three more digests, each featuring a new five-page story: Archie Milestones Digest #15 – Best of the 1970s will be on sale June 15th, 2022, Archie Milestones Digest #16 – Best of the 2000s on sale August 24th, 2022, and finally, Archie Milestones Digest #17 – Best of the 1980s will be on sale on November 2nd, 2022.

This is the second batch of brand-new five-page Archie comics to be included in Archie Digests, following the inclusion of brand-new Sabrina stories across five titles (with the fifth title to include a new Sabrina story, World of Betty & Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #9, arriving at your local comic shop this Wednesday, October 13th, 2021 (the same day as Chilling Adventures of Sabrina #9).
