Batman’s Fortnite Crossover Takes Over Gotham City This Fall

[ad_1]

Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point saw the caped crusader dropped onto the island of battle royales. This October, the fighting will follow the hero home to Gotham City.

The island in Fortnite is a realm where players face off in the ultimate battle royale, fighting until there is only one victor. This October, the fight will move to a place that has history with being a “No Man’s Land”: Gotham City.

The Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point comic miniseries left off with the future of the DC’s heroes in peril, as its villains gathered. Present in the panels of the final issue were Lex Luthor, Deathstroke and even the Batman Who Laughs, who met with Doctor Slone to learn that the invasion of Fortnite into the DC Universe has “already begun.” The story will continue in the Batman/Fortnite One Shot set to release this fall.

  • Directly from the bestselling, groundbreaking Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point miniseries, comes an oversized one-shot that brings the action from the island to Gotham City. If you thought the Batman/Fortnite saga was over, think again…it only gets bigger from here!

According to DC solicitations, the story “only gets bigger from here” for this Elseworld tale involving one of the biggest games out today. Even if the story were to take place in the main continuity, it would have to be set prior to the events of Dark Nights: Death Metal, even Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen. After all, the Batman Who Laughs has not ascended to his all-powerful form of The One Who Laughs, the Earth’s continents have not been reshaped into a giant bat, and Lex Luthor and the evil Batman appear to be on good terms, being that the two are not trying to kill each other like they normally would.

However, fans may see some Dark Nights: Metal energy instilled into the story, as writer Scott Snyder, who penned the extreme events for DC Comics, joins writer Christos Gage (Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point) and Epic Games’ Donald Mustard to create the one shot alongside artist Joshua Hixson. Dark Nights: Metal and Batman alum Greg Capullo will also be bringing his artistic talents with Jonathan Glapion to the cover of the issue.

Readers will be able to pick up the issue when it drops on Oct. 26, 2021.
