It’s been another exciting week for Sonic the Hedgehog fans, with Sega not only releasing a new trailer for Sonic Frontiers at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live but also confirming the title would be arriving on all platforms (including the Nintendo Switch) on 8th November.
With this anticipated “open-zone” entry getting closer by the day, it seems we’ve now got an idea of the file size for the Switch eShop version of the game. As shared by Nintendo Everything, Sonic Frontiers is currently listed on Nintendo’s digital store as being 10.4GB in size. In contrast, Sonic Forces on Switch was 6.6GB, and Sonic Colors: Ultimate was just 6.8GB.
In Sonic Frontiers, players will race across “five massive overworld islands” filled with all sorts of environments from dense forests, overflowing waterfalls and sizzling deserts. Players can also expect to encounter some friendly faces along the way.
