The most recent James Bond actor Daniel Craig almost joined the MCU in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Two different sources say that Craig was set to cameo, but pulled out at the last minute because of COVID-19 concerns.
Fun fact, Krasinski wasn’t the first choice, the actor originally set to play the role was all set to shoot but when there was an uptick in COVID cases, he backed out as he was living in London and didn’t think the quick shoot wasn’t worth risk of bringing back COVID to the fam pic.twitter.com/sD9nT0omki

The only discrepancy in the reports are about which character he was supposed to play. Heavy Spoilers claim that the former James Bond was set to play Thor’s brother Balder the Brave, a character that had been rumored to be in the film for a while. While a senior editor over at Deadline, Justin Kroll, claims he was set to play Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four.
Craig was originally supposed to be Balder The Brave who was part of the illuminati. He was talked into killing himself by Wanda. He couldn’t shoot the scenes though and in the reshoots they replaced him with Krasinski.

When Craig dropped out he was replaced by another fan-favorite actor but I won’t say who incase you haven’t seen the film yet. Of the two reports, I feel Craig would’ve been a better Balder than Reed, but either way I’d love to see the actor join the MCU at some point in the future.
