A painful new clip from the upcoming jackass forever features UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou performing a “cup test” on Danger Ehren.

Paramount Pictures released a painful new clip from jackass forever dubbed the “cup test.”

The footage features UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou delivering a devastating punch to Danger Ehren’s groin in order to test the durability of the cup he’s wearing. Although Johnny Knoxville told Ehren he’d be getting hit by a lightweight, Ngannou is instead brought in to conduct the experiment. Prior to the stunt, Steve-O recites an article noting that Ngannou holds the world record for the “hardest punch” ever measured. “His punch is the equivalent of being hit by a Ford Escort at top speed,” Steve-O says before Ngannou tells him, “You don’t have to read that now.”

The “cup test” was teased in the recently released final trailer for jackass forever, which promises a variety of dangerous stunts and hilarious pranks. The old gang will be joined by a new generation of jackasses for the fourth theatrical installment in the hit franchise, which began as an MTV series in 2000.

In honor of the film’s release, Paramount Pictures also announced a special “fan appreciation night” that will be held on Feb. 3 in participating theaters. The one-night event will include “extended bonus content” shown after the film’s credits, including “a special cast & filmmaker round-table discussion curated specifically for fans seeing the film on the big screen.”

jackass forever sparked controversy shortly after the release of its first trailer when PETA issued a statement accusing the team behind the film of animal abuse. Citing several examples from the film’s trailer, including footage of Knoxville being charged by a bull and another cast member being bit on the nose by a snake, PETA insisted that the film “normalizes” and “encourages” animal cruelty. The organization further called on the City of Los Angeles to launch an investigation and hold the crew accountable for “any violations” that might have been committed.

The following month, the producers of jackass forever were hit with a wrongful termination lawsuit from former Jackass star Bam Margera, who was axed from the film during shooting. Margera was reportedly fired for failing to abide by conditions set forth by producers — including staying sober and seeking mental health counseling. Margera, however, said in his lawsuit that he was “made to endure psychological torture in the form of a sham Wellness Agreement.”

jackass forever began filming in early 2020, but production was forced to shut down for several months as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally scheduled to hit theaters in October 2021, Paramount Pictures delayed jackass forever just one month prior to its release when the COVID-19 Delta variant began rising. Despite the recent spread of the Omicron variant, jackass forever is still on track to hit theaters on Feb. 4.
