Prime Video’s The Boys teases the arrival of the comic series’ X-Men twist, the G-Men, by confirming that two members exist in the satire’s universe.

The Boys teases the debut of another comic book super team.

The fictional Vought News Network’s January 2022 and apparent final episode of “Seven on 7 with Cameron Coleman” confirmed the existence of two G-Men members, John Godolkin and Silver Kincaid. While discussing “Vought’s Annual Hero Draft” towards the beginning of the episode, the segment revealed that the university where heroes train is named after Godolkin, while Silver Kincaid is name dropped later on as a contestant for the “American Hero” reality show. The confirmation of these two inches the series closer to the debut of the comic title’s X-Men spoof team.

The G-Men are the focus of the arc “We Gotta Go Now” from The Boys comic series. The team is regarded as Vought’s most profitable asset, despite not being as powerful or praised as the Seven. Silver Kincaid launches the arc after publicly killing herself, causing the Boys to investigate the G-Men and uncover the disturbing crimes of Godolkin, who serves as a twist on Professor X from Marvel Comics.

The Boys confirmed that the G-Men exist in the television series all the way back during the show’s premiere, after Madelyn Stillwell namedrops the team by mentioning a film titled G-Men: World War. A Season 2 fan theory suggested that Cindy, an escaped patient from the Sage Grove Center, was the show’s adaptation of Silver Kincaid, with the recent news segment debunking this theory. An earlier episode of Seven on 7 this year though teased that Cindy will be hunted down by Black Noir in the upcoming season.

Though the G-Men have not been seen yet, Godolkin University appears to be the teased locale for one of The Boys‘ spinoff series, which is set to focus on the college experience of Vought’s superheroes. Though casting breakdowns have been reported, the new series still does not have an official title. However, an animated spinoff titled Diabolical was announced in early December 2021 as an anthology series for superhero satire.

A new super team that will be in The Boys Season 3, however, is Payback, the series’ twist on Marvel’s Avengers. Confirmed members for the team include Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), the Crimson Countess (Laurie Holden) and Gunpowder (Sean Patrick Flannery), with Ackles releasing a photo of Soldier Boy shortly after the news promo dropped. The series also unveiled its Season 3 release date, which fans have been eagerly waiting months for any information on.

The Boys Season 3 hits Prime Video on June 3, 2022.
