10 Anime Villains Who Dress to Impress

[ad_1]

The world of anime has countless famous and scary villains, from the planet-destroying Frieza of Dragon Ball Z to Naruto‘s ultimate shinobi, Madara Uchiha. These villains already vary widely in their goals, methods, powers, and abilities, but they also vary in their wardrobes. Even villains need to dress up for the job.

Some villains and antagonists don’t care much about how they look, such as the detectives Near and L in Death Note. Other villains look downright tacky, like Nnoitra Gilga from Bleach. Some more notable villains are famous for their exquisite outfits and great taste in fashion, with a portion taking great pride in how they look.

10 Yoshikage Kira Has A Cool Suit (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)

Anime JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Yoshikage Kira Killer Queen Stand

Many villains in anime and other media wear suits. Anyone in a crisp, stylish suit is going to look great, whether they’re a noble hero, a cruel villain, or anything in between. The villain in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable is none other than the Stand-wielding serial killer Yoshikage Kira.

Kira clearly cares a great deal about his appearance, from his slick suit to his well-coiffed hair, and he doesn’t like getting dirty for any reason. He compares well to Diavolo’s own outfit, who wears some rather strange clothes for a mob boss.

9 Demon Lord Clayman Is Dressed For A Dinner Party (That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime)

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime features Demon Lord Clayman, another well-dressed villain who is perfectly dressed for polite company. Instead of a modern suit, Clayman wears a white button-up tuxedo shirt with a black bow tie, a gray vest, and a high-collared white formal coat. His impressive outfit is topped off with a pair of white gentleman’s gloves.

Clayman definitely looks like he’s about to attend a dinner party with aristocrats or nobles, and his exquisite outfit easily matches the luxurious decor of his private castle. Clayman may be an irredeemable scumbag of a villain, but at least he always looks his best.

8 Daki Is Simply Dazzling (Demon Slayer)

One of the antagonists of Demon Slayer season 2, Daki

Demon Slayer‘s Entertainment District arc introduces the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, along with a worthy foe for him to face: the Upper Moon Six, Daki. She poses as an oiran in Tokyo’s entertainment district and often changes her appearance to hide the fact that she never visibly ages.

Daki has done well for herself so far in the Entertainment District arc, and she’s a serious threat to Uzui and his three wives who are operating in the district. She dresses well as a false oiran and can catch the adoring eye of any man who beholds her. She also has classy hair accessories and jewelry.

7 Azami Nakiri Has A Dark, Classy Suit (Food Wars!: Shokugeki No Soma)

Azami Nakiri is yet another male villain who looks his best in a well-fitted suit. Even if men’s fashion seems limited compared to women’s, there are still some ways to customize a suit and make it stand out. Azami, for example, matches his dark eyes and hair with a dark gray suit and a dark, pinstriped shirt.

Azami completes his fancy ensemble with a gray and white striped tie for some visual relief. He tops off the outfit with black gloves for an even classier look. Azami thinks he’s the best thing to ever happen to the culinary world in Food Wars!, and he has an outfit to match his ego.

6 Princess Malty Looks Exquisite (The Rising Of The Shield Hero)

Malty smiles

Princess Malty is infamous as one of the anime community’s most hated characters of all time since she plotted against the Rising of the Shield Hero‘s protagonist by publicly accusing him of a heinous crime he didn’t commit. Malty and her father are both shady schemers, and their kingdom almost paid a huge price for it.

Even if Malty is rotten on the inside, she won’t show it on the outside. She is a princess, after all, and has colorful and elegant outfits to match, along with fine jewelry, makeup, and hairstyles. No one would guess that a twisted villain lies under that lovely exterior.

5 Gentle Criminal Wears A Stylish Getup (My Hero Academia)

The minor villain Gentle Criminal wasn’t nearly as powerful as Izuku’s other foes, but the social media star was a symbolic villain who demonstrates what happens when students can’t handle society’s expectations of them.

Gentle Criminal has a dazzling outfit and finely-trimmed facial hair to give him a classy and old-fashioned look, complete with gloves, a high-collared coat, and even a tea set. His sidekick, La Brava, has a fairly stylish outfit of her own, too.

4 Rize Kamishiro Always Looks Her Best (Tokyo Ghoul)

Rize, Tokyo Ghoul

The glutton ghoul Rize Kamishiro was the first villain (and the first ghoul) to appear in Tokyo Ghoul. As Rize intended, Ken saw her as a lovely and smart college student — a harmless lady who loved books more than anything. Rize attacked Ken but nearly died after steel beams fell on her.

She didn’t look so good after that, but her initial appearance was definitely flattering. She dressed well without looking gaudy. She also had finely brushed hair and neat glasses that complimented her “geek girl” persona. Too bad there’s a monster underneath.

3 Shaiapouf Has Butterfly Wings & A Fine Outfit (Hunter X Hunter)

Shaipouf violin

Shaiapouf is a major villain of the Chimera Ant arc in Hunter X Hunter and he’s proud to be one of king Meruem’s personal bodyguards. Shaiapouf takes this duty seriously and he occasionally becomes carried away — at least until Meruem gives him a harsh glare.

Shaiapouf is known not only for his butterfly-based techniques, but for his fine dress sense and his talent with the violin. He dresses well in a white shirt with a butterfly-style collar, complete with dark pants and shoes. It’s not the fanciest villain outfit, but it’s simple and classy. He could easily add a tuxedo jacket to complete this look.

2 Ikaruga Looks Like A Japanese Princess (Fairy Tail)

Very few characters in Fairy Tail wear official uniforms. Instead, heroes and villains dress however they choose, including the stylish villainess Ikaruga. She originally appeared during the Tower of Heaven story arc, where she clashed with the mighty Erza Scarlet in a battle of swordmasters.

Ikaruga is an attractive lady with bright red lipstick and two beauty marks. She wears a red and white Japanese-style robe, or kimono, with stylish flame and skull patterns. She also wears tall sandals to make her look more imposing.

1 Wrath Looks Good In His Uniform (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)

The villain Wrath wears the Amestris military uniform as the leader of that great nation. Wrath, who goes by King Bradley, naturally looks great in his officer’s uniform. Bradley’s military uniform includes several medals pinned onto its chest area and ultra-sharp sabers by his side. He completes his look with slicked-back dark hair and a finely-trimmed mustache.
