Arcane, Netflix’s League of Legends spin-off has been out for a while now and fans have enjoyed the series a lot. The plot centers around the conflicts between the Undercity and Piltover, with champions from the game, such as Jinx, Vi, Jayce, and Ekko playing major roles in the story.
Throughout the first season’s nine episodes, there were many plot twists, making it so fans have a completely different experience when watching the series over again.
10 Viktor Knew Singed When He Was A Child
Viktor and Singed are two of the best scientists in the series. However, they were different in many ways. While Singed worked with Silco to make Shimmer, Viktor, along with Jayce, used Hextech to improve Piltover’s people’s lives.
It was surprising to learn that when he was a child, Viktor met Singed, and was on friendly terms with him until Viktor learned that Singed was willing to go much further with his research than Viktor was, doing things that Viktor didn’t think were right. However, when he started dying, he returned to Singed, hoping that his old friend would be able to save him.
9 Jayce Became A Member Of The Council
Jayce’s research was discovered at the beginning of the series. Due to how dangerous it could be, the Council voted to remove Jayce from the Academy and send him home, stopping him from working with Hextech. However, some people, such as Viktor and Mel, believed in him.
A few years later, Jayce had changed Piltover and became so powerful that he became a member of the Council, which fans never would have expected to happen when he was first introduced.
8 Silco & Vander Were Once Comrades
Vander was a mysterious character at the beginning of the series. However, nobody expected that he had worked with Silco, who seemed to be the main villain at the time. Years prior, the two hoped to make the Undercity independent from Piltover.
However, their dream resulted in the deaths of many of their comrades. While Silco believed that they needed to keep fighting to make their dream a reality, Vander thought that protecting his people was more important. The two ended up fighting each other and became enemies.
7 Silco Raised Jinx
After Vi had left Powder, she felt like she was all on her own. Shortly after, Silco found her. Understanding what it was like to feel betrayed by a loved one, as he was still hurt by what Vander had done to him, he gave her what she needed.
For years, he raised her as his daughter, caring about her more than anyone else. He helped her become Jinx, changing her life forever.
6 Jayce & Viktor Agreed To Destroy The Hexcore
For years, Jayce and Viktor worked together to help as many people as they could with the Hextech. However, they went so far that they lost sight of doing what was right, resulting in many bad things happening. At the end of the first season, Viktor asked Jayce to destroy the Hexcore, wanting to get rid of it but not feeling like he could do it himself.
Even though he knew that the Hexcore was his greatest chance at saving his life, Viktor was willing to let it go, and Jayce respected his decision. After everything they achieved, they accepted destroying the thing that made them a success.
5 The Council Agreed To Let Zaun Become Independent
In order to avoid war, Jayce made a deal with Silco in which the Undercity would become independent in exchange for Jinx being sent to prison. Though Silco wouldn’t have followed through with his side of the deal, Jayce and Viktor told the Council about the deal.
At first, they were outraged, but after a while, they accepted that it was the best thing to do. For so long, they wanted to be in control of the Undercity, but they ended up agreeing with Jayce, whose life they nearly ruined at one point.
4 Heimerdinger Was Voted Out Of The Council
At the beginning of the series, Heimerdinger was the leader of the Council. He was a brilliant scientist that lived for decades. As a result, he wanted to take more precautions and not rush things as much as the other members of the Council did, as they didn’t have nearly as long to live.
When Jayce proposed removing Heimerdinger from the Council, the other members agreed. Heimerdinger was heartbroken by this, and started a new life with the Firelights.
3 Jinx Killed Silco
In the last episode, Jinx had captured Vi, Caitlyn, and Silco, confronting the people that she was hurt by the most. Because Vi was hoping to bring Powder back, while Silco wanted her to stay by his side, Jinx was very torn on what to do. She lost control of herself and accidentally shot Silco, killing him.
As he died, he told her that he never would have given her to the Council and that she was perfect. Afterward, she shot a missile with a crystal in it at the Council, most likely killing all of them, though fans won’t know for sure until the second season.
2 Ekko Was The Leader Of The Firelights
When the series first began, Ekko played a minor role, being a friend to Vander’s children. However, after Vander, Claggor, and Mylo died, Vi was arrested, and Powder became Jinx, Ekko was on his own.
He formed the Firelights and became their leader. Throughout the series, fans had no idea who the leader of the Firelights was, and they were shocked to learn that it was Ekko.
1 Powder Accidentally Killed Vander, Mylo, & Claggor
After Vander was captured by Silco, his children, with the exception of Powder, hoped to rescue him. Vi, Claggor, and Mylo didn’t want her to get hurt nor be in their way, but she followed them anyway, hoping to use one of the crystals she stole from Jayce to fight against their enemies.
However, she accidentally killed her family, with the exception of Vi with it. Once Vi found out, she left Powder on her own, turning her into Jinx.
