Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon encourage fans to avoid spoiling the film for others in a new video.
Spider-Man: No Way Home’s Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon encourage fans to both avoid spoilers and avoid spoiling the film for others in a new spot posted ahead of the film’s release.
“NO SPOILERS. Don’t be that person,” reads the caption on a post shared on No Way Home’s official Twitter account. “If you want to be extra safe, stop reading comments, mute keywords, and start staying off social media today! Watch #SpiderManNoWayHome to find out what happens for yourself when the movie hits theaters Thursday!” The clip itself opens with Holland explaining he and his co-stars have an important message to share.

“…I hope you’re all as excited as we are for the new release of Spider-Man: No Way Home,” the trio continues. “We just wanted to put out a little message, asking that when you guys do see the movie, please don’t spoil it for anyone.” Holland, Zendaya and Batalon add, “Yeah, no spoilers … Anyway, this movie is so huge. And we can’t wait to watch it with you this December, on the big screen.”
Jamie Foxx, who will return as Electro in the film, then appears on the screen to say, “See you there. And remember, no spoilers.” The clip ends with Batalon reacting to Foxx’s surprise appearance by noting, “But Jamie, you are a spoiler!”
Batalon’s comment is a reference to the recent confirmation that Electro is among the villains who will appear in No Way Home after being defeated by Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s version of Spider-Man in Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man films and Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man Trilogy, respectively. Other villains confirmed to appear in the film include Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Rhys Ifans’ Lizard and Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman.
Holland’s comments about avoiding spoilers hits especially close to home following Zendaya’s recent revelation the Spider-Man star told her about Iron Man’s death ahead of Avengers: Endgame debuting in 2019. “I wish I didn’t know about Iron Man before that movie came out,” Zendaya said while looking at Holland and adding she “didn’t get to enjoy it in the theater.” Holland deflected the accusation by asking in jest, “Who told you that Iron Man died? That’s terrible. Bless you.”
Directed by Jon Watts, Spider-Man: No Way Home stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned. The film arrives in theaters on Dec. 17.
