Fortnite: How to Unlock the Crowning Achievement Emote

[ad_1]

The Crowning Achievement Emote is a new free addition to Fortnite Chapter 3. Here is how players can unlock this triumphant prize.

Fortnite Chapter 3 is literally causing people to flip. After the island flipped, Epic Games revealed that the new chapter’s island was right below their feet all along. Along with the latest island are myriad fresh faces and new features, including sliding and pitching tents. Among these new features is the introduction of the Crowned Victory Royale, which is an honor regarded even more highly than a normal Victory Royale.  Achieving a Crowned Victory Royale also grants players the new Crowning Achievement emote for free.

To receive a Crowned Victory Royale and the Crowning Achievement emote, players have to do more than just earn a Victory Royale — they have to do so while they have a Victory Crown in their possession. Victory Crowns are items you can find in matches from other players or a perk granted at the end of a player’s game. Once the crown is in their possession, the player must win the match to get their first Crowned Victory Royale.

The first way to find a Victory Crown is to take one from an eliminated opponent. Eliminated players who started a match with a Victory Crown will drop their crown in the world. Another player can then pick up this trophy and claim it as their own. After picking up the crown, winning the match will reward a Crowned Victory Royale, and with it the Crowning Achievement emote. Alternatively, placing high or performing multiple eliminations in a game can also award a Victory Crown. Once the match ends, the game will notify the player that they have earned a Victory Crown, and its effects will kick in during the player’s next match.

After securing a Crowned Victory Royale, feel free to flaunt the new free emote, Crowning Achievement. Any outfit in the game can use the emote, and it will show the player’s character holding a crown while they glow gold with pride. The crown will also display a number corresponding to the number of Crowned Victory Royales the player earned during the season, which means this feature will likely be a mainstay of Fortnite Chapter 3, with the number resetting season to season. It is also worth noting that a normal Victory Royale will not contribute to the number on the crown; it has to be a Crowned Victory Royale.

At the moment, Victory Crowns are not too difficult to come by as long as players are performing decently in matches, so through skill and determination, most players should be able to snag this cool emote eventually. Epic Games most likely added this feature to discourage players from quitting early in matches, as leaving early causes a player to drop their crown. It’s a good way to keep players more invested in their games without introducing punishments for players who want to leave a match early. Players will have to wait and see just how high that number can go throughout the season, as it appears the current cap maybe 99.
