THR recently reported that, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone stars and filmmaker Chris Columbus are reuniting for the previously announced 20th anniversary retrospective on HBO Max,” to then reveal, “there’s one notable omission from the list of participants: creator J.K. Rowling.”
Huh?
Here is the list of those who made the list:
WarnerMedia on Tuesday announced that the special will feature the franchise’s central trio of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson as well as director Columbus. They will be joined by other franchise alums including Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch and Ian Hart.
How is Rowling NOT invited? This is no mere oversight. There’s more.
The release made no mention of Rowling when listing those participating in the retrospective. While Harry Potter remains a beloved franchise, Rowling sparked backlash from the trans community after saying that transgender individuals should be defined by their biological sex. Sources close to the project note that the retrospective will focus on the creation of the film and the central cast/team. Rowling will, however, be featured in archival footage. She will not make a new appearance in the special.
John Nolte of Breitbart had the following take:
Shame on every person who’s agreed to participate in this. They are all McCarthyite appeasers. It is outrageous to blacklist artists (or anyone) over any political belief, much less one grounded in the science of biology. Every person asked to participate in this reunion should have done the moral thing and said no unless Rowling was invited. They are cowards and quislings and should remember that history is never kind to censors and scolds.
On this issue, Rowling has been both fact-based and compassionate. But that’s not good enough for the Woke Gestapo that demands total fealty.
Even the two so-called men Rowling helped to make famous and wealthy, those twerps Daniel Radcliffe and Eddie Redmayne, have stabbed her in the back. Money-grubbing cowards are what they are.
The woke backlash has already begun, and I cannot wait to see Radcliffe and Redmayne and the rest of these fascists listed in the history books next to those who named names during the first McCarthy era.
Breitbart appears to be one of the only major news outlets that is making note of how egregious this is. And they do not obscure, and are respectful, of Rowling’s openly left-wing political views, but maintain that the Harry Potter author has been spot on regarding this issue, which is why she is increasingly become a target for her views on transgenderism and women’s rights.

Yesterday, Rowling openly discussed the death threats she has received after the “trans community” doxed her, revealing her home address. The author made following statement on Twitter:
“Last Friday, my family’s address was posted on Twitter by three activist actors who took pictures of themselves in front of our house, carefully positioning themselves to ensure that our address was visible.”
I want to say a massive thank you to everybody who reported the image to @TwitterSupport. Your kindness and decency made all the difference to my family and me. I’d also like to thank @PoliceScotland for their support and assistance in this matter. 2/8

Over the last few years I’ve watched, appalled, as women like Allison Bailey, Raquel Sanchez, Marion Miller, Rosie Duffield, Joanna Cherry, Julie Bindel, Rosa Freedman, Kathleen Stock and many, many others, including women who have no public profile 4/8

Breitbart was also following this shocking story:
Rowling said that she believes the activists who took the picture — all of whom have since deleted their Twitter accounts — did so in order to “intimidate me out of speaking up for women’s sex-based rights.” The author said that as a result of her address being shared online, she has received “so many death threats I could paper the house with them.”
Defiantly, Rowling said that the threats against her life have not stopped her from “speaking out.”
Rowling is a very outspoken liberal and identifies as a proud feminist, who regularly pushes back against efforts by the “trans community” to change language related to womanhood and transgender people. Here is but one example:
‘People who menstruate.’ I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?

In spite of being uninvited to the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter, the doxing, and the death threats from the “trans community,” Rowling remains firm and defiant, telling trans activists that the best way to “prove your movement isn’t a threat to women, is to stop stalking, harassing and threatening us.”
