Xbox Collaborating With Wu-Tang Clan on Original Fantasy RPG

[ad_1]

Brass Lion Entertainment is set to collaborate with Xbox in the creation of a third-person action RPG with music developed by Wu-Tang Clan.

Renowned east-coast hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan is reportedly collaborating with Xbox to create an original soundtrack for an upcoming martial arts-based RPG.

According to a report from Windows Central, a database leak from NVIDIA indicated that, among other possible games from various publishers, Xbox would be partnering with Brass Lion Entertainment for an upcoming game codenamed, “Shaolin.” According to a recent Tweet from Brass Lion co-founder Manveer Heir, the developer sent out a call for designers to work on an “unannounced action RPG” with an “anime aesthetic,” though whether this is “Shaolin” has yet to be confirmed.

“Shaolin” is reportedly a third-person, melee RPG that will feature a four-player co-op. Aside from the base campaign, the game is said to contain a rich postgame, several season updates, as well as procedurally generated dungeons, loot and custom events.

While there have been rumors about a potential Wu-Tang Clan-themed video game, it is unknown whether that game will be “Shaolin,” though the musical group has been the subject of a video game with a similar title before, with the 1999 PlayStation title, Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style. On top of that, Wu-Tang Clan’s name is based on the 1983 martial arts film Shaolin and Wu-Tang.

As of writing, no further info about the project codenamed “Shaolin” has been revealed.
