Spinoff manga humorously depicts how the legendary hitman deals with various common camping issues
Takao Saito‘s Golgo 13 manga has inspired a camping manual, titled Golgo Camp. The publication is a collaboration with the outdoor magazine BE-PAL, and is a compilation of nine parts of the Golgo Camp spinoff manga drawn by Yukio Miyama.
The manga launched in Shogakukan‘s Manga ONE app on August 30. It tells the story of the titular Golgo 13, who is a legendary hitman with professional survival skills, suddenly appearing in a modern outdoors context. The manga humorously depicts how he deals with various common camping issues, such as making fires, securing water, and setting up camp.
In addition to the manga, the magazine includes columns with practical outdoors tips. The publication shipped in Japan on September 29.
Golgo 13 manga creator Takao Saito passed away on September 24 from pancreatic cancer. He was 84.
