Avengers #50 First Look Assembles a Multiversal Super Team

[ad_1]

The Avengers call in multiversal reinforcements to take on the new Masters of Evil in a preview for Avengers #50, celebrating 750 issues of the title.

A new preview shows the Avengers must assemble a multiversal team to fight against the latest iteration of the Masters of Evil.

In November’s Avengers #50, which doubles as a celebration of 750 issues of the series, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will need to summon reinforcements against the Multiversal Masters of Evil. The giant-sized issue features 96-pages of stories by writers Jason Aaron and Christopher Ruocchio, with art by Carlos Pacheco, Aaron Kuder, Ed McGuinness, Javier Garrón and Steve McNiven. GamesRadar released preview art for the special issue, showing the prehistoric Avengers gathering amongst an assembly of otherworldly heroes. In addition, readers can catch a glimpse at the new Masters of Evil, which includes incarnations of Doctor Doom, Wolverine, the Red Skull and more from across the multiverse. These characters were recently introduced in Free Comic Book Day: Avengers/Hulk #1 and have plans on assaulting the Earth.

Avengers #50 features multiple stories designed to push Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to the limit. One story that will see its conclusion is “World War She-Hulk,” which features the team’s resident powerhouse gain more power than ever before. Now known as Winter Hulk, Jennifer Walters has been transformed by the Red Room to become a killing machine. With a new She-Hulk series set to debut in 2022, this story will be crucial to the future of the character.

Marvel has also teased the oversized issue will reveal the “true purpose” of the prehistoric Avengers. The team first showed up in 2017’s Marvel Legacy #1, also written by Jason Aaron, and have been shown in flashbacks throughout his Avengers run. While some of these prehistoric Avengers have met a tragic fate, others appear in the preview art for Avengers #50, such as Odin. It remains to be seen what their role will be in the fight against the Multiversal Masters of Evil.

Speaking on the massive anniversary issue, writer Jason Aaron said, “It’s such an honor to be a part of issue #750 of Avengers, and I’m looking to celebrate the rich history of the title and its iconic characters by using this issue as the gargantuan-sized kick-off that’ll be as wildly sweeping and swing-for-the-fences epic as it can possibly be.”

Avengers #50 goes on sale Nov. 17 from Marvel Comics.
