The Suicide Squad’s Weasel and King Shark May Join the Battle Bus

[ad_1]

King Shark and Weasel, two fan-favorite characters in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, may be joining the Fortnite Island in the near future.

Fortnite insider shared information on a new batch of skins coming to Epic Games’ battle royale, two of which are based on fan-favorite characters from James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.

According to Hypex on Twitter, both King Shark and Weasel, as depicted in The Suicide Squad, may be coming to Fortnite. Their post suggests that the listed skins are either “upcoming” or “scrapped” but never clarifies which status applies to the individual entries. It’s possible that King Shark and Weasel were intended to join the game but were later replaced by their teammate Bloodsport, who recently made his Fortnite debut.

As for other skins potentially coming to the game, Hypex also suggests that fans can look forward to “Jester (Male, Female & King?), Jurassic Archaeology (Male), Male counterpart of Komplex [and] a male Halloween skin from Save The World.” No release date was provided for any of the outfits.

Given Fortnite‘s long-running collaborative history with DC Comics, the addition of two more popular characters from The Suicide Squad makes sense. Alongside the aforementioned Bloodsport outfit, Hypex recently revealed the addition of several new sprays coming to Fortnite. These sprays, all themed around James Gunn’s latest blockbuster film, feature King Shark, Peacemaker, Harley Quinn and Polka-Dot Man. While this doesn’t serve as confirmation that these characters will be added to the game, it suggests that Epic Games may have future plans for the aptly named Suicide Squad.

The potential leak of skins themed around Weasel and King Shark follows reports that Epic Games has suspended the development of a Cyborg skin for Fortnite. According to leaker Shiina, the Cyborg outfit has been postponed indefinitely with no reason provided as to why. Warner Bros. and Epic Games have yet to comment on the cancellation.

Players who want to practice their Fortnite skills before the potential launch of these two killer characters better get to work. Epic Games’ hyper-successful battle royale title is available on nearly every major platform, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and mobile devices. The game’s community is currently attempting to repel an in-game alien invasion alongside several recognizable figures including Superman, Wonder Woman, Rick and Morty and Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Gamora.
