The latest teaser trailer for The Walking Dead Season 11 unveils new footage from the final season of AMC’s long-running zombie drama.
Fans clawing at the bit for anything new from The Walking Dead‘s upcoming Season 11 were recently treated to a 30-second teaser trailer from AMC.
Posted on the official Walking Dead YouTube channel, the teaser trailer — titled “Live for Them” — gives fans a quick peek at the first part of the popular zombie drama’s final season. Highlighted is new footage of the surviving characters vowing and preparing to defend Alexandria, though keen-eyed viewers may recognize some reused shots from previous trailers.
The Walking Dead‘s 11th season will mark the end of the nearly 11-year-old series when it premieres later this month. Readers of the comics will recognize content from issues #175-193, introducing a new community called the Commonwealth that will play a major role in this season’s coming arc. A sneak peek at the Season 11 premiere was shared last month, featuring Maggie, Daryl and other survivors embarking on a scavenging mission, with potential foreshadowing of what’s to come with the Commonwealth being teased at as well.
“The first episode is crazy,” executive producer Scott Gimple said during a Twitch stream back in May, where he stated the first episode of Season 11 will do things never before done over the show’s lengthy run. “I cannot wait for people to see it. It’s very, very big.”
The Walking Dead Season 11 will be let loose on Aug. 22 for broadcast viewers, while AMC+ subscribers will be able to stream the first episode starting Aug. 15.
