Levi Ackerman is the strongest character of the Attack On Titan series without any superb shifting powers to tilt battles in his favor. As a legend among the Scouts and a scourge of Marley, his undisputable skill ranks among Paradis’ greatest assets.
However, Levi is far from perfect. Although he may be powerful within his own universe, matching him against the One Piece series will better assess his skills and limitations. Moreover, it will illustrate how versatile his mastery over ODM gear, swords, and thunder spears are against unpredictable opponents.
10 COULD BEAT: Vivi Doesn’t Have An Effective Way To Stop Levi From Cutting Her Down
Princess Vivi was a comrade of the Straw Hat pirates and a moderately proficient fighter, as proven through her acceptance into the Baroque Works organization. However, her dance-based combat style has a number of flaws.
Not only does Vivi lack the speed to prevent Levi from cutting her down while using his ODM gear, but she also can’t match his proficiency with melee weapons. As a result, she would be cut down moments after the fight began.
9 LOSE TO: Oars Has Fought & Defeated Swordsmen Better Than Levi
Although Levi is in his element when fighting giants, Oars would be an entirely different threat. Unlike pure titans, he will not die immediately from a slice to the nape. Moreover, his flexible body allows him to catch Levi off-guard while he’s attempting to navigate the battlefield with ODM gear.
Oars demonstrated enough durability to resist the combined attacks of the Straw Hat pirates, even against the likes of Roronoa Zoro, a man whose attacks could cleave apart entire towers at the time. Therefore, it reasons that Levi’s weapons would break well before Oars’ body does.
8 COULD BEAT: Don Krieg Is Much Too Slow To Stand A Chance Against Levi
As a veteran of the Grand Line, Don Krieg has many advantages over Levi. His arsenal is particularly extensive, including nets, explosive spears, automated guns, dense armor, and a noxious gas that can kill seasoned pirates in moments.
However, the latter ability takes too long since he must put on a mask to use his weapon safely. Given that Krieg’s head is completely undefended, Levi would be able to zip across the battlefield and slash his throat well before he has an opportunity to use his gas.
7 LOSE TO: Luffy’s Haki Provides A Practical Solution To Levi’s Weapons
In theory, Levi’s blades would be effective against Luffy since they’re considered slashing attacks. However, Luffy’s armament haki provides an impervious barrier to shatter his opponent’s swords if he’s struck at all.
Luffy’s Second Gear allowed him to move so fast that even seasoned CP9 agents struggled to keep up with him. Considering this, he could easily match Levi’s speed, using his extendable limbs to offset the captain’s ODM gear and eliminate his chances of victory.
6 COULD BEAT: Foxy’s Slow-Slow Beams Are Heavily Telegraphed & Ultimately Ineffective
Foxy’s Slow-Slow beams allowed him to virtually shut down any targets for roughly half a minute. Within this timeframe, he intended to pummel them with spiked boxing gloves so that when its effects expired, his opponent would be severely injured.
However, Levi managed to dodge Kenny Ackerman’s bullets during the confrontation in Rod Reiss’ bunker. Given this, Foxy’s projectiles would never stand a chance of connecting with him, and he would be torn to shreds the second his opponent comes within arm’s reach.
5 LOSE TO: Levi Has No Way To Harm Smoker
Given that Levi is fast enough to dodge bullets and avoid Zeke’s projectiles, it follows that he has better reflexes and is faster than Smoker. This is especially true when considering how much the marine struggles to catch Luffy during the Loguetown incident even without Second Gear.
However, Smoker’s logia fruit makes him invulnerable to anything that the captain might attack him with. With his ability to spread himself thin and fly, not even Levi’s thunder spears would be effective against his billowy body and dynamic maneuverability.
4 COULD BEAT: Machvise’s Simplistic Attacks Would Never Hit Levi
Machvise was able to alter his bodyweight however he liked. At maximum density, he became bulky enough to crush the joints of a giant with a single diving blow.
However, his tactic is only successful if he can take to the sky, which requires him to become nearly weightless. If Levi gets his ODM gear through Machvise’s stomach, he could effectively turn him into a human balloon and render his Devil Fruit worthless. Even if the captain couldn’t impale Machvise outright, he’s more than capable of dodging his attacks with their limited scope.
3 LOSE TO: Lucci’s Iron Body Provides A Challenge That Levi Can’t Overcome
Lucci’s versatility makes him a formidable adversary for Levi. He is fast enough to match Second Gear Luffy, suggesting that he’s at least equivalent to (if not faster than) Levi.
The villain’s “iron body” technique is undoubtedly his greatest asset since it would allow him to endure Levi’s attacks. Lucci has managed to stand back up after being hit with a punch powerful enough to crack the side of a castle, so the captain’s thunder spears shouldn’t be too much trouble.
2 COULD BEAT: Hachi’s Attacks Are Too Slow & Clumsy To Hit Levi
Although Hachi possesses significantly more arms and swords than Levi, he is still at a massive disadvantage. Perhaps his most appalling flaw has to do with basic skill, seeing how he fails to defeat a wounded Zoro during the Arlong Park incident.
Moreover, several shots from a typical pistol were enough to leave him on the verge of death, as proven when Charloss attacked him. Therefore, Levi would only need to throw a single thunder spear in order to bring the fish-man down for the count.
1 LOSE TO: Mihawk Has Better Reflexes & Higher Attack Power Than Levi
Renowned across the world as the greatest swordsman to ever live, Mihawk’s skill significantly overshadows Levi’s. Not only would his observation haki allow him to dodge the captain’s attacks safely, but he also has an astonishingly high amount of raw strength.
For example, he could unleash unstoppable shockwaves with a single slash of his sword that has devastated powerful pirates. Moreover, he was powerful enough to cleave through Don Krieg’s entire armada and nearly killed Zoro with a tiny dagger (who in turn was durable enough to survive millions of volts of electricity from Eneru).
