Batman is one of the greatest heroes in comics. While he doesn’t have any superpowers, he gets by on his gadgets, brains, and skills. The amount of villains that Batman has faced and beaten is astounding – even Darkseid has taken an L from the Dark Knight Detective. Whether it be criminals gangs, costumed crazies, or all-powerful cosmic gods, Batman does one thing- he wins.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is full of terrifying villains, some of who seem like they should be able to Batman. However, Batman is a much wilier foe than any of them can imagine and he would be able to come from behind for the win.
10 Should Be Able To Beat Batman: Killmonger Was An Amazing Combatant
Killmonger had a very hard life. Growing up without a father, he was thrust into a hard world and learned to do whatever he needed to in order to survive. He traveled the world as a mercenary and was even able to defeat T’Challa in hand-to-hand combat becoming the new Black Panther. While his final fight against T’Challa is one of the MCU’s most underwhelming, he’s still one of the best villains in any of the movies.
Beating T’Challa in a fight is no easy task and Killmonger was able to do it. That would put him in pretty good stead against Batman and Killmonger’s skills should allow him to defeat the Dark Knight.
9 Why Batman Would Win: Batman Cheats
Beating T’Challa in a fair fight is very impressive but Batman hasn’t met a fair fight he won’t cheat during. He knows when he’s outmatched and will go to any lengths to win. Sure, Killmonger can be tricky but even he could learn a thing or two from Batman about how to outthink, out plan, and cheat an opponent.
That said, Batman needing to cheat in a fight against Killmonger seems like a little much. Killmonger is good but Batman is just plain better. Killmonger would probably put a quick hurting on Batman but that would only spur him on to change the game and put the fight on his terms. When a fight is on Batman’s terms, his foes have no chance.
8 Should Be Able To Beat Batman: Zemo Is Smart And Skilled
Zemo did something that few villains in the MCU can lay claim to – he beat the Avengers by outthinking them, getting the team to beat itself. From there, he helped Falcon and Winter Soldier against Karli Morgenthau and the Flag-Smashers, stealing the spotlight in their show. Zemo is smart and, as a former special soldier trained to hunt down supersoldiers, ready for anything.
The prey that Zemo goes after is usually more powerful than Batman and while Zemo isn’t smarter than Batman, Zemo is a tricky enough man to keep Batman on his toes long enough to possibly take him down.
7 Why Batman Would Win: He’s Way Out Of Zemo’s League
Zemo is good at the whole dirty tricks game and outthinking his foes but Batman is just way better at that sort of thing. In fact, it’s kind of Batman’s stock in trade – he’s been outsmarting his foes for years. One highly trained soldier isn’t going to prove to be too much for him – he’s outsmarted ancient gods.
If it came down to a fight, well, Zemo especially has no chance then. Zemo is a cunning soldier and well trained but Batman is one of the greatest martial artists on the planet. He’s in superb physical condition and can hang with superpowered foes. Zemo doesn’t stand a chance against him.
6 Should Be Able To Beat Batman: John Walker Has The Skills And The Strength
John Walker’s story is a sad one. Calling him a villain is a bit much because he was trying to do the right thing but he was out of his depth and ended up on the wrong side of things. A highly decorated and well-trained soldier, once he took the supersoldier serum he reached the next level, even outfighting the Winter Soldier.
John Walker’s skill and strength put him on another level and while Batman has certainly defeated foes who were similar, Walker’s ferocity and unpredictability give him a distinct advantage over the Caped Crusader, enough of an advantage that he should be able to win.
5 Why Batman Would Win: Walker Is Nothing Special For Batman
John Walker has the skills and strength to be a challenge for Batman but not an insurmountable one. In fact, Batman has faced foes who are both similar to or beyond Walker. Walker can be a very tricky foe – he completely outmatched Winter Soldier and it took him and Falcon to take him down – Batman is even trickier.
It’s honestly doubtful that Batman would need to try very hard against Walker. He’s a surgical fighter and his physical skills are just under superhuman. He’d take Walker apart in a fight.
4 Should Be Able To Beat Batman: Red Skull And Hydra Are A Formidable Force
Unlike the comics, Red Skull was only active during WWII but he had the full might of Hydra behind him. One thing he did have in common with his comic self is how despicable he is and how dangerous he can be. Red Skull was one of the most frightening Nazis to fight against and Captain America just barely beat him.
While Red Skull almost certainly would lose to Batman in a straight-up fight, he has the power of Hydra behind him and that should give him the advantage he needs to defeat the Caped Crusader.
3 Why Batman Would Win: Batman Is A One-Man Wrecking Machine
Red Skull and Hydra are tough but Batman has been beating the odds for as long as he’s been fighting crime. He’s often faced down gangs of foes or armies of enemies and come out on top. Numerical superiority has never been a problem for Batman – he’s used to long odds.
That said, Red Skull was known for his cunning and ability to command, which would make things harder on Batman. However, the Dark Knight is no fool; he knows when to strike and when to let his foes think they’re winning. He’s smart and tricky, which will give him an advantage over Red Skull and Hydra, allowing him to defeat them.
2 Should Be Able To Beat Batman: Loki Has The Power And The Cunning
Loki is one of the most popular MCU characters of them all, making loads of appearances. While he’s not exactly a villain anymore, Loki is always down to do what needs to be done to make himself greater and he has the power to accomplish that. He can survive a beating from the Hulk and his magic is powerful enough to hurt gods.
On top of that, Loki has thousands of years of experience outsmarting everyone he came across. With his power and years of cunning, He should be able to make short work of Batman and then go back to bedeviling Asgard and the Avengers.
1 Why Batman Would Win: He Beats Gods All The Time
Loki is tough but Batman has been able to beat gods before. In fact, Batman has found ways to be useful in battle against Darkseid and has survived the dangers of Apokolips more than once. Loki has a lot of advantages over Batman but Batman has spent his life beating the odds.
Batman has a plan for everything and trickster gods isn’t something that’d be outside of realm of expertise for Batman. It would be more surprising if he didn’t have a plan to deal with someone like Loki. As good as Loki is, Batman has faced way worse over the years and triumphed. He may have a bit of a problem but Loki wouldn’t be insurmountable for the Dark Knight.
