The lines between television and movies are more blurry than ever before. With the MCU making its way to the small screen through official adaptations, cinematic characters are beginning to find a home on television. Aside from the interplay of characters and franchises, the quality of tv shows- like Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad– rival film production.
Before long, fans may find themselves watching a James Bond television series that bridges the gap between films. Although Bond is a hero in very loose terms, it would be interesting to see how he matches up with other tv superheroes.
10 Cyborg Would Need Tech Support After Battling James Bond
Backed by the British government, Bond has some of the best tech “toys” in media. Q, Bond’s go-to tech wizard, always concocts a new invention to help James in the field.
If Bond were to encounter Victor Stone- otherwise known as Cyborg from Doom Patrol– he would have an array of weapons to counter the teenage cyborg. Granted a veritable arsenal by way of his robotic body, Cyborg wouldn’t be a day in the park for Bond, but 007 would eventually win with Q’s assistance.
9 James Bond Would Fill The Iron Fist Full Of Lead
Martial arts and spies go together like peanut butter and jelly. Since the explosion of the espionage genre in the 1960s, almost every prominent spy gets presented as a master of at least one martial arts discipline.
Iron Fist may have more hand-to-hand combat skills than Bond, but 007 could hold his own. Danny Rand could deflect bullets with his titular iron fist in the Netflix Iron Fist show. However, after a competitive battle, Bond could get several kill shots at close range.
8 James Bond Is A Tight Rope Robin Couldn’t Walk
Everyone has to leave the nest eventually. In the process of maturation, one must venture into the world alone, away from parents and mentors, to truly test their mettle. Robin from Titans takes a similar step when he takes flight from under Batman’s wing.
Most adversaries fall to Robin’s immense mastery of Batman’s training, but Bond would be too experienced to fall for Grayon’s tricks. Without his partner at his side, Bond wouldn’t have any issue breaking the boy wonder before he could even blink.
7 US Agent Would Learn To Respect The Crown After Battling Bond
Having wild energy in a fight can be a good thing. Being able to access the latent savagery within one’s spirit can change the course of combat. However, no matter how primal one gets in an altercation, they’ll always lose to an opponent with a clear head.
US Agent fights like a rabid dog and has enough arrogance to power ten egos. If he were to face the calm and detached Bond in a fight, 007 would cripple US Agent with precise and lethal strikes.
6 Arrow Would Be A Marked Man Against Bond
In a conflict, whichever side possesses more sophisticated weaponry and a solid game plan usually wins the engagement. To be fair, Oliver Queen has faced many rivals with guns, but few combatants as sneaky as Bond.
Green Arrow is a master of stealth and finding the perfect place to scout targets, but Bond would always be a step ahead of Queen’s intel. In addition, James Bond could attack Oliver Queen in his personal life when his guard was down.
5 007 Would Bring Out The Big Guns Against The Punisher
Frank Castle is a unique monster in the MCU. Other characters engage in truly lethal justice as a last resort, but Frank leads with murder. There isn’t a gun or weapon that Castle can’t handle. The same goes for James Bond.
Whereas Frank gained his weapon prowess during the war through trial and error, Bond has been trained from the ground up to use guns. The gulf of experience between the two would earn 007 the victory in either a physical altercation or a shoot-out.
4 Cloak And Dagger Couldn’t Hold A Candle To James Bond
There’s always strength in numbers. With the proper allies, one can overcome any obstacle. However, there’s a hidden detriment within having a close partner; losing them becomes your weakness. In the case of Cloak and Dagger, who can’t use their powers without each other, Bond would simply employ the divide and conquer tactic.
If 007 could split the teens up, he’d be more than capable of forcing them to make a mistake, especially when one factors in the character’s intense romantic feelings for each other.
3 Batwoman Couldn’t Account For Bond’s Skill
There’s an old saying, “the clothes don’t make the person; the person makes the clothes.” Make no mistake; Batwoman is a competent superhero outside of her connection to Batman. However, there is a sizable difference in the amount of skill compared to Bruce Wayne or even Kate Kane.
Ryan is still getting her bearings as the protector of Gotham City. If she were to cross paths with James Bond, Ryan wouldn’t be able to compensate for the decades of mastery that Bond can effortlessly exude.
2 Matt Murdock Would Lose In A Game Of Truth Or Dare Against James Bond
Without question, Daredevil is one of the most underrated heroes at Marvel. The character’s impressive array of powers makes him a threat to characters that are outside of his relative, street-level weight class.
Making use of his fantastic hearing to sense when bullets are about to be fired would hamper 007’s game against Hell’s Kitchen’s guardian devil. However, when the fight became up close and personal, James Bond would have a fair chance and the vicious killer instinct that Matt Murdock refuses to tap into.
1 Kate Bishop Would Be Less Than A Pawn To James Bond
Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop is the new “it girl” in the MCU. With the success of the Hawkeye show, Kate is earning her place in many fans’ hearts. With Marvel not too subtly positioning Kate as Clint Barton’s replacement, the theme of the Hawkeye series ties into Bishop’s inexperience.
As a result, Bond would wipe the floor with Kate Bishop. If a few Russian gangsters can give Bishop a run for her money, 007 would find battling the new and improved Hawkeye a walk in the park.
