10 Strongest Marvel Characters Ben Reilly Can Defeat

[ad_1]

Ben Reilly’s ignominious debut in the Clone Saga should have held him back, but he has quite a fan following. Back in the mantle of Spider-Man, Reilly has been swinging high and looks to gain even more fans as a bold new era of The Amazing Spider-Man begins. While he doesn’t have as much experience as his genetic donor, he has all the powers, making him a formidable opponent.

There are plenty of Marvel characters, hero and villain alike, who Reilly would be able to take out in a fight. Some of them he has beaten in the past, and the ones he didn’t would make for great battles now that he’s back.

10 Reilly’s Spider-Sense Makes Him More Than A Match For Bullseye

Bullseye Dark Avengers The Hand Thunderbolts

Bullseye is one of the world’s great assassins, with his uncanny aim and ability to turn anything he throws into a deadly weapon making him a hot commodity in the crime world. Bullseye has fought a lot of heroes over the years, and even superpowered heroes have had a problem fighting him. Ben wouldn’t have nearly as much trouble as others because of his spider-sense.

Bullseye is fast and accurate, but Reilly’s spider-sense gives him the ability to anticipate his foe’s attacks while his agility will let him get out of the way of any assault. Bullseye is tough, but if he can’t hit an opponent, he can’t win.

9 Reilly Has Daredevil Beat In Nearly Every Category

Daredevil has been in a lot of epic battles. He’s made a career of punching way above his weight class and even has wins against Peter Parker. However, beyond Daredevil’s ninja skills, Spider-Man has him beat in every way. Reilly doesn’t have the experience of Parker, but he’s no slouch, and he would teach Daredevil a thing or two.

Between his spider-sense, agility, and super-strength, Reilly would be able to overwhelm Daredevil. Daredevil is one of the best vigilantes around, but holding a candle to any Spider-Man is just a bridge too far.

8 Captain America Doesn’t Want To Cross Ben Reilly

Captain America attacks Shang-Chi

Captain America is one of the most skilled heroes on the planet, but he’s not invincible. The super-soldier serum makes him a tough fighter, but Ben’s spider-powers are superior in every way. Cap’s shield may even things up, but Reilly’s webs and spider-sense would allow him to take that weapon away relatively easily.

Cap is still formidable without his shield, but Reilly is smart enough not to try and box him. With his powers, he could chip away at Cap’s defense and take him down sooner than most would expect from Reilly.

7 Wolverine Couldn’t Handle Ben Reilly’s Offense

Wolverine is the best there is at what he does, but Spider-Man has always been a problem for him. While Wolverine has some wins against Hulk, he has a lot less against Spider-Man. Seeing as Reilly has the same powers, he could beat Wolverine as well. Things would get bad if he got into claw range, but Reilly doesn’t have to get that close.

His superior mobility and spider-sense would keep him out of Wolverine’s reach and give him a massive advantage. Wolverine is a formidable foe, but if Reilly kept his head together, he’d be able to beat Wolverine just like Parker does.

6 Reilly’s Fought And Defeated Doctor Octopus

Doctor Octopus is one of Spider-Man’s oldest foes. He and Reilly tangled back when Ben first returned, and Reilly was even able to beat Ock’s successor as well. In the years since he and Reilly last fought, Doc Ock has gotten better, but that doesn’t mean that he could win. His capabilities are still pretty much the same, and this would give Reilly the edge he needs.

Ben and Ock make great opponents. Ben may have the same powers as Peter, but he’s a different man. This would nullify any advantage Ock has over Ben and give him a greater chance to win the fight.

5 Cyclops Couldn’t Handle Reilly’s Agility

Cyclops X-Men Jean Grey Polaris

Cyclops is one of Marvel’s most skilled heroes. He’s a great leader, a tenacious fighter, and his optics blasts can shatter mountains. Cyclops has been able to take down foes who are much stronger than he is, but Ben Reilly wouldn’t have too much of a problem with him. Sure, Cyclops has the long-range advantage, but Reilly’s spider-sense would nullify his offense.

Ben is strong and fast, which would make a huge difference in the fight. He’ll be able to stay ahead of Cyclops and get closer and closer. While his webs aren’t as good a weapon as Cyclops’s optic blasts, they’ll give him a way to slow down and distract the mutant, which will make all the difference.

4 Beast Is Good, But Ben Reilly Is Better

Beast has gotten a reputation for doing a lot of bad things over the years. While he’s not one of the most respectable heroes anymore, he’s still a tough fighter. With his super strength and agility, he’s a good match for Ben Reilly, as they are pretty much on par with their physical abilities. What sets them apart is Reilly’s spider-sense.

This precognitive ability is his ace in the hole and will allow him to pummel Beast. Beast is tough as nails, but if he can’t land any offense on Reilly, he doesn’t have a chance in the fight. Reilly will outmaneuver Beast and take him down.

3 Iron Man Isn’t Unbeatable For Ben Reilly

Iron Man Alex Ross Korvac Fight

Iron Man is one of Marvel’s A-list heroes, although calling him heroic can be a misnomer. His armor makes him a formidable opponent, but it doesn’t make him as unstoppable as he likes to believe. Peter has been able to beat Iron Man in the past, and Ben would as well. It wouldn’t be an easy fight, but Ben has what it takes to win.

Fighting Iron Man is a difficult proposition but not impossible. Iron Man is used to winning by overwhelming his foes. Ben could stay ahead of his offense long enough for the Armored Avenger to make a mistake. That would allow Ben to methodically take him apart.

2 Carnage Learned Not To Mess With Ben Reilly

Carnage towering over cityscape

Carnage is one Spider-Man’s most terrifying foes, but Ben has beaten him in the past. Carnage is a tough opponent; his symbiote has fewer vulnerabilities, and his bloodthirsty nature makes any fight against him a tricky proposition. He’s an unpredictable foe, but Reilly understands how to fight him.

While Carnage has gotten a lot tougher over the years, he’s not grown much as a fighter. Ben may find the battle harder than before, but he still knows how to fight Carnage. It may take a little longer, but Reilly has this one in the bag.

1 Green Goblin Killed Reilly Once, But That’s Not Going To Happen Again

Ben Reilly’s return is all because of Green Goblin. The whole thing was yet another scheme by Norman Osborn to torment Peter Parker, and Goblin ended up beating Reilly to death. Ben owes him one, so he’s not going to take it easy on Osborn. Green Goblin has survived a lot and knows how to fight Spider-Men better than most, but Ben has a grudge to settle.

Ben’s a tenacious fighter, and without the clone-based degradation that weakened him in his first battle with Green Goblin, the fight is going to go very differently. Green Goblin is a devastating opponent, but Reilly can beat him the second time around.
