Her actions help guide Kimihiro Watanuki, a young boy who can see spirits. She also grants wishes to people if they are willing to make an appropriate sacrifice, but they don’t always go to plan.
She has a strong belief that nothing is either good or evil and applies this concept every day. She doesn’t involve herself in other people’s affairs, often letting fate decide even if she knows that people could be harmed or in danger. The exception to that is Watanuki, who she does care about and protects.

This resulted in the massacre of over one hundred people, a sacrifice to the Intention of the Abyss, the antagonist who controls the Abyss. Break is dangerous, evil, and willing to do whatever he likes without thought of the consequences.

However, he is also cunning and manipulative and is willing to do or say anything to get his way. He also likes to gather intelligence on people so that he can use it against them or, in some cases, to help benefit others.
